lalalina - 5 out of 5 stars review2/11/2009I was very pleased with this product. My first use was to make deer jerky and it turned out great. It didn't take long at all. I was very pleased with the automated revolving trays that turn constantly making sure your food gets an even flow of air. This is the right dehydrator to buy. Easy to use!

twinpinssavage - 4 out of 5 stars review2/21/2010At first glance when you see this dehydrator, the appearance gives it a cheaply made look. Don't let that fool you. It may look like cheap plastic, however it will make some great tasting jerky and dried fruits. It sits out of the way on the back of our counter and doesn't even make that much noise when switched on.

jjfunk - 4 out of 5 stars review11/10/2007This is good for the price but the problem that I have with it is that it takes just a little to much time for almost everything that you use it for. There is not to many features for it except that you can change the hight of each divider. It is good for the price, it does work farely good.You have to follow the directions really good or the food will not come out right. But all in all it is a good product.

I was promised a new part within 3-5 days. That was 10 days ago--no new part yet!Samandsuzee

- 2 out of 5 stars review11/6/2007I also own a bottom-of-the-line American Harvest dehydrator but it unfortunately would not fit in my duffle bag when I deployed to Iraq so I did not bring it with, and could not find a company that would ship one out here. So I gave this one a shot, and have been sorely disappointed. It dries the fruit very unevenly, even within the same tray. Whereas my old one could dry an entire load of apples or bananas in about 6 hours, this one will have the bottom tray dry in about 10 hours, the second tray will have a ring of dry fruit around the outside but the ones toward middle - and all the rest of the trays - will still be raw. Last week I put on a load of pineapple before bed, and when I woke up the bottom tray was finished. The second tray,ho...

Like the other reviewers, the bottom jerky was done while the top remained wet. I will take it back due to this design error. Bottom line, bad design and I recommend you purchase a different brand.Dave22

When we bought the Aroma 5 tier it was our 2nd choice because WalMart was out of the Nesco Snackmaster. We were very disappointed in the Aroma for its perfornance and annoying squeak as trays rotated. We returned it and got a Nesco Snackmaster though Walmart.com that works great.

bigsarge115 - 1 out of 5 stars review4/24/2008I purchased this and I was very un happy with it. I make jerkey all the time and I had gotten this product for that reason. It took way-way to long to complete the drying process!!!! A day and 1/2 !! I purchased another brand - same price range and it worked fine. Used the same recipe and thickness of the meat, so I know it was the product purchased that failed.

The unit does not dehydrate evenly, takes endless hours and repositioning whatever is being dehydrated. I do not recommend this product.SouthernBelle50

- 5 out of 5 stars review10/2/2008This product was everything we expected and more. So far we have dried jerky, fruit, and flowers and it works like a charm! The instructions are easy to follow, and the dehydrator comes almost all the way set up (all you have to do is take off some packaging). We would definitely recommend!
A great jerky maker
SheenaGantz - 4 out of 5 stars review8/3/2012Did what I wanted, I bought for the purpose of making my own beef jerky without having to always the pre made jerky. It dehydrated my jerky to a nice crisp after 16 hours and that was 3lbs of beef on all the trays. The trays are a little flimsy but with gentle handling it's not a problem. I would recommend this to a friend.

R6AZN - 4 out of 5 stars review4/30/2009Product works very good. Love that it has a fan and that the trays rotate. Does take a while to make a batch of jerky and it squeaks as it rotates not real loud but if your sitting in the home the whole time it's going it can be annoying. Worth the price!

MommyOfThreeKiddos - 5 out of 5 stars review10/26/2010This is the second Aroma dehydrator that I have had. The first one gave out after five years of hard use. It runs constantly from mid Aug through Nov. It is easy to use and reliable. I have used it for a lot of different fruits and herbs. The only thing that would make it better is to have a timer or humidity sensor that would turn off when the fruit or herbs are finished. I plug it into a timer so if I am not available when it is finished it will turn off.

It only comes with one Drying Scteen and One fruit leather sheet. For the price its ok If you are useing it to dehydrate things that are solid you can use all five traysrccowboyup
