Great Series!

A friend gave me the first book in this series after having had surgery. I looked at the size of the book and decided I would never read it. I couldn't put it down. When I got to the end, I went to the library to get the 2nd and 3rd books. Francine is a brilliant writer. Her stories are very descriptive and captivating as well as inspiring. I made this purchase to be able to share with friends.

Too much historical info vs. a story

For ME, this began with info from old testament and each chapter brought in new characters all of whom I couldnt keep track of. I just wanted to read a nice story of Christian background not the entire history from old testament days. Way too many details all going no where. If you love details and dont care when an actual story comes in, then this is the set for you.

    Good reads

    Reading books by Francine Rivers refreshes and delights my soul. I can't put the book down when I start it. I also recommend "Redeeming Love" and "The Sin Eater" both written by her as well.

    My favorite book ever

    I got the first and second book of this series from the public library and read them both in under a week. I just couldn't put it down! This is probably the best book ever (after the Bible) and really describes how life was during the roman empire. Francine Rivers is an amazing author and I read her other books as well. Her books always seem so real and vivid. Also, I was shocked to see this set at such a low price at Walmart because last time I checked it was 10 dollars more than it is now. I'm definitely buying a set and I can't wait to read the third book!

    Highly Recommend!!

    This is the best book series I've ever read. They made a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend these books - they are wonderful!!

    Great price for this many books!!

    When I fell in love with the Mark of the Lion series I knew I needed to buy it so I could give it out to people. I was surprised at how low of a price Walmart gave and was very grateful since I'm on a college student's tight budget!

    My Favorite Series by Rivers

    This book series was recommended by a friend and when I first started reading it I wasn't sure I was going to like it. After the first few chapters I was hooked! I couldn't put it down! Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors and this series is my favorite.

    Best books ever read

    These books are truly amazing I have read many many christian stories the author keeps you right on edge of seat once started hard to put down. Have bought as gift for two friends and recommended to all friends. The three books collection is an wonderful deal and very nicely packaged I have ordered three and maybe more in future .. Enjoy

    Outside of the Bible, the Mark of the Lion trilogy by Francine Rivers, are the best books I have ever read! The research done by the author is outstanding! She makes it so real. I was completely drawn into the story. I laughed. I cried. I went through about every emotion. All her books are excellent, but these are by far the "most" excellent! I have read them twice and am looking forward to reading them again. I have purchased these books two times before and lent them out - never received them back. I am purchasing two sets this time, one for me, one to lend out! I love all of the Francine Rivers books I have read. My first one was "The Atonement Child", "Redeeming Love" was next.     Great book series

    Loved these books couldn't quit reading them. They are big books but took me no time to read them. I am ordering more of her books.
