(don't forget to do something about your seat if it has quick release!) nice quality and the one key with an LED light is a nice touch.

The quality of the lock is comparable to other similar U-locks that cost far more. The spare cable is a bonus for added security. My suggestion would be to buy another good pad lock to use with the cable so that you can lock the wheels together and then use the U-lock to secure the bicycle to a pole, bike rack, fence or whatever.

Moreover, we could use the chain to lock the rear tire together with the frame. These seem very secure, and we could not have been happier and satisfied with our purchase - definitely worth the value.

This lock comes with one of the thickest steel cables you'll see and a U-lock which in combo make a great system, even if you can't use it exactly as directed.

The only BAD thing is that the mounting bracket (made of plastic) might break since the lock is heavy... and it is hard to insert and take it off. Besides that I love this lock (Ongaurd.. has a good rating in one of the bike lock hacking test..I read somewhere..)

The only complaint I have about the lock regards the included lock mount: it holds the lock very tightly, making it quite difficult to insert and remove the lock from the mount. The large size of the lock also makes it difficult to find a good spot to mount the lock on the bike, unless the bike's frame is very large.

I didn't get this lock with that function as a need, so I use it with out the bike attachment and it works great. The lock itself is very good. Satisfied.

Pros: comes with both cable and lock for reaching awkward spaces and locking up both quick release wheels Cons: This thing is WAY HEAVIER than I thought it would be and way bigger. IMO, The crossbar on the lock is way too big. The u/shackle part can always be cut pretty quickly no matter what size so I think the crossbar should not be almost as heavy as my bike! The U is also a bit oversized , might have trouble fitting on some bikes. But a great deal if you want cable, lock, and you have space on your bike/basket. I returned this lock to the store and will make my own chain lock .

I had one of this U-lock about 2 years ago, and it was a good choice at that time. I bought another recently and found that they have fully upgraded this U-lock, including: thicker and stronger metal, larger and longer "U" shape, a turnable lock-head to protect the key whole from rust (during raining days), and one "illuminable" key with build-in LED light. The included chain is still very good and strong. And all these upgrades come from free -- same price as my previous one. Similar U-lock on other places (Amazon.com) will definitely cost you more than $30. Just got this one!

I keep it in my saddlebag. And the cable wire is long enough to put in front wheel and back wheel including the seat. So, this is why I decided to keep it. Will be hard for a crook to rob my baby.
