- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/8/2016I grate these 3 bars of Kirk's, and add a box of Borax, Baking Soda and Washing Soda to make laundry detergent. Works great, so cheap, and I know exactly what's in it. My local Walmart stopped carrying these in store, so I was glad to see they were shippable.
Favorite bar for laundry soap!
TexasMom5 - 5 out of 5 stars review7/21/2016After suffering with skin issues for years, we recently began searching for a natural soap to replace the chemical laden body-washes and shampoos we have been using all our 50+ years. I don't know why, but it never occurred to us before that the products we were using, although labeled as 'natural' and 'organic' and 'hypoallergenic', still contained so many harmful chemicals! Since finding Kirk's Original Coco Castile soap, we are searching no longer. This is a superb soap for shampooing and bathing, with rich, dreamy lather, and a mild, fresh scent. Both skin and hair feel so clean, yet not dry and tight. We ordered several more bars, as Walmart has the best price. I see that several reviewers also use it in the laundry, that may be the ...
Our search for a natural soap has ended!
BryRitWalmart Associate - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/30/2014This is a great soap. I don't want to spend the money for fancy castile bars, but I wanted a soap that didn't contain animal tallow or harmful additives (per EWG website or Skin Deep app) and that was nourishing to the skin. This fit the bill and then some. It lathers well and has a light, pleasant scent. My husband enjoys it too; it is not "girly". We have both noticed a healthier glow to our skin and it cleans even better than tallow soaps. And since it is made with coconut oil (vs. olive oil, etc.), it has an indefinite shelf life. Coconut oil will not go rancid. Walmart online has the best price (7/2014). Cracker Barrel comes in second on price if you want to try one bar first or need it right away...my analytical husband has calculated...
The Best!
DetailsRUs - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/2/2016This is the only soap we use. It is not loaded with chemicals, you can read and understand the few ingredients that is in there. It lathers up really good and down to when it is the size of a quarter. We p/u at our local Walmart, which they have orange lockers @ customer service, {our 1st time} we went to the touch screen entered the number we were sent via e-mail, and one of the locker doors opened up and there was our package, real easy.
Best Soap
Robnrob2 - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/14/2013So I use this for shampoo and body wash. At first it felt like it was going to be drying because water rolls off of you after you rinse it off if that makes sense. But by the third day I just felt very clean. It doesn't have much of a fragrance. I follow up with coconut oil for conditioner and lotion. My hair... I don't even have to brush it. It's not frizzy anymore and my curls look more defined. My skin feels soft and refreshed as well. OverAll it's a good product and its a really low price. All the ingredients are natural and there are no icky chemicals.Jenn1235
- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/26/2014As a teenager, I used pure Castile shampoo that a pharmacist friend used to bottle for me. Since my skin is getting dryer and more sensitive with age, I decided to try this soap in my bath. I was immediately delighted with it. It didn't dry my skin or leave any residue and the fragrance is just pure clean. I love it!
At last, a bar soap that doesn't make me itch!
scarlettr - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/30/2014I was looking for a soap that was not antibiotic or highly perfumed with the least amount of scent. Kirk's was near perfect. Although a little too much scent, it has a great lather and clean feel that lasts longer than any soap I've ever used. Great product.
great value for bath soap
whatbugsya - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/27/2013This soap is fantastic for almost anything. Quality and consistency are great. This was my first order from Walmart online. Problem is that I ordered a couple of packs and never received my order. I tried reordering but none available online. Walmart seriously needs to work on this problem. They apparently only stock a few packs of this highly-on-demand product. I needed this soap by a specific date and it never arrived and couldn't reorder. Any ideas, Walmart?

Cohen81 - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/25/2013I've been using pure, organic coconut oil instead of body lotion or baby oil for years so I was drawn to castille soap because it was said to be all natural and made from coconut oil. With that, there are two things about this soap that concern me: it has a very, very rich lather and it burns my private parts. This makes me skepticle about it's purity. Could this be one of those instances when "natural" doesn't really mean ALL natural? What natural ingredient could make it lather like that?? I still gave 3 stars and recommeded it because, as long as I rinse my nether regions right away, it's better than using a perfumy soap that contains triclosan. And, if you're not distracted at all by a "natural" soap lathering up like that, you'll like ...
All Natural?
frugal4fun - 1 out of 5 stars review9/11/2014I specifically bought this soap for my daughter, who has mild Eczema. This soap really made her skin feel really irritated and painful- especially on the creases of legs. Had to discontinue use right away with the burning sensation. We usually use Yardley's Oatmeal Soap and that works fine. I will try the soap on myself, and maybe I will have a better opinion of it then but I strongly advice not use on sensitive dry skin such as Eczema. The product is also made here in the U.S.. I was under the impression that it was made in Spain, according to the product description .

BellaMa04Walmart Associate - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/29/2016I have been a very satisfied user of Kirk's Soap for many years. It can be hard to find, however, and I was delighted to discover that I can purchase it from Walmart. The only complaint I have about my shopping experience is that the quantity options were not clear. When I find Kirk's Soap, I usually buy a case of 24 bars. There was a price listed on the Walmart website that might have reflected that. However, there was no clear explanation as to exactly what that price was for. So I simply purchased eight 3-bar packs. Although my husband and I use Kirk's Soap every day, it will obviously be a while before we need it again. I hope, however, that by that time I can buy a case lot without fuss.
Case lot of Kirk's Soap?

great soap
IMJMe - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase2/3/2017I wanted to have this as a substitute for glycerin saddle soap. It lathers up beautifully and doesn't dry out leather, so it doesn't need conditioning. I gave bars to my horsey friends.
Great soap for saddle and tack cleaning!
janetfc - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/13/2013Great product for value & quality. We use the bars for hand washing, grated to make detergent, to make liquid soap & in the shower. Best all around for the price!
CLASSIC LIKE GRANDMA LOVED!
Dogpackmomma - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/2/2013We love this soap! It does not dry out my skin or his skin. The scent is mild and does not smell like perfume. He likes it and I like it. Also, we can read all of the ingredients and do not need a dictionary....
Best Bar Soap EVER!
MKHagen13 - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/23/2013Nice lather and a hard bar that lasts for a while. Neutral scent and no soapy residue. Not as good as it used to be - - however, it is still a very nice soap.
Kirk's Coco Castile is good soap
WileyhPost - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/28/2014This soap has a fresh, mild, clean scent. It lathers up well and it's ALL natural. The coconut oil leaves my skin feeling soft and not dried out. I would recommend!
Wonderful all natural soap!
gonzalesmouse - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/27/2016These soap bars are a very neutral base. The soap cleans but doesn't dry out your skin. $3.28 is a good price, and I would buy again at this price. Clean and gentle.
Clean feel, not stripping
