This sewing machine is so easy to use. Yes, it is plastic, however it is a solid and smooth machine. I have used it to make curtains, sewing through a few different types of material. Perfect for my needs. With all of the extra stitch patterns, you can get even more creative than you would with another machine of this price. Great value!

    Great machine at a great price!

    I am very happy with my new Brother sewing machine. I love the self threader and it sews through denim jeans like a charm. I have used it several times since receiving it and plan to use it for many years to come. I have always used a singer machine but the great reviews convinced me to try the Brother. It did not disappoint me. I love this machine!

    Machine is very good for the price. I am a fashion student and this machine has more stitich options than the $2500 machines we use in school. It comes with multiple feet for different types of stitches. The instruction manuel is extremely helpful. It gives you information on what each stitch does and when it is used. I great machine for both beginners and advanced sewers.

    OMG, I've had a great time sewing on my new Project Runway sewing machine and I am a good seamstress . I love all the stitches, can hardly wait to try some of the more floral ones. The first thing I did was to try out my machine by refitting the waistband and lengthening on 4 sets of pants. Sewing was easy once I got use to the slight delay the machine does because it is computerized. Love the easy instructions and the simple led screed I can set easily. Bottom line the machine stitches are even, tight and beautiful, what's not to like?

    It's so smooth...

    Just been using it for a week or so now. It's so smooth and quiet...doesn't shake the table like my old machine did. I love, love, love the automatic buttonhole function and all the finishing stitches it has. Still trying to get used to the location of the reverse stitch button (kind of like looking for the clutch when you've just switched to an automatic transmission) but I'm getting the hang of it. I'll be able to do way more with this machine than my old one (the old one is a Brother, too and it still goes like a champ). Very exciting!

    Limited Edition Worth the investment

    Brother is known for value priced machines, this one is definitely that. This model embroiders, does button holes, zippers, and so much more! It is easy to use, a perfect machine for a budding seamster or seamstress. The 25 year warrantee is unheard of in a machine at this price point. It seems to user friendly as well. If given the opportunity, would definitely buy this machine again. The manual is very clear as well. I highly recommend this item.

    This is a great sewing machine for all levels

    I did alot of research prior to the purchase of this sewing machine. I have been sewing for years and have had several makes and models. I have to say that this machine is very user friendly and offers more than I could have expected. It is an excellent product for the money.

    Great for the price

    This machine was purchased by me for a quilting class that I coordinate on Wednesdays. Several women have used the machine and LOVE it. We normally buy Janome, but I am a Brothers person so I got Brothers. I think most of them are convinced that Brothers is the way to go.

    great machine for a beginner and light sewing.

    we buy these machines for the high school costume shop. they are easy for beginners to learn on. they don't hold up well to constant abuse but last for about 2 years. if not abused, i think this would be a great machine for light sewing. it doesn't do well with heavy fabrics like denim and upholstery fabric.

    Fantastic machine!

    I am a novice sewer. I bought this for my 7 year old daughter so we could learn to sew together. It is so slick--easy to operate and thread. The pedal does not go too fast for a new sewer. Literally, I took it out of the box ans began sewing!!! HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

    Easy to use!

    I haven't used a sewing machine since I was little. I was able to have it up and going quickly. I've already made several projects and I've only had it six days! The machine does everything promised. It's very easy to thread and the needle threader is so much easier than doing it yourself. Dropping the bobbin in is easy, too. You don't have to pull the thread out to sew. Winding a bobbin is easy as well. Be sure to insert the thread INTO the round tension button, not around it like I did at first. All you'll need to start sewing is some thread and fabric. It comes with everything else to start you off.     The machine even comes with a manual so you don't have to download it from the internet. This is my first computerized sewing machine so the manual was a real plus...I needed it. My old machine was 23 yrs. old so this is a real learning experience. I can't wait to try all the specialty stitches that are installed.

    The manual is very easy to read and understand for someone with no experience. It comes with all the accessories for any beginner projects. Bobbin threading only took a few seconds and threading the machine was even faster. Love the reverse stitch button and the foot pedal allows for great control of stitch speed. Purchased the additional 2-year warranty jic and feel received a great value.

    I was so excited to receive this sewing machine because of the good reviews. However, I was also very disappointed about the skipping stitches. I've had a Singer sewing machine for over 10 years and it has never skipped a stitch. Anyway, I returned the machine for a full refund so Walmart is an awesome place to shop. I will stick to Singer.

    This is a very good product. The machine is light enough to be easily moved from one place to another and it sews very nicely. It is not for industrial use and it is limited to the thickness of fabric used, for example; it does not do well with heavy denim. I would recommend this machine without hesitation.
