- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/6/2013I am very happy with my new red colander. I use it a lot.
Great colander
newbuyer2009 - 5 out of 5 stars review9/28/2011A very sturdy and attractive product, the lowest price I found online, even with the shipping included. Got a yellow one, though this comes in a variety of striking colors which nicely match other costlier appliances such as the KitchenAid mixer and the blender, as well as the upmarket Le Creuset bakeware.
striking addition to the kitchen counter top
luluu123 - 5 out of 5 stars review3/2/2012The red colander is about 6" high setting on the bar and about 11" across the top. It is durable and heavy(not too heavy to use) not like some of the flimsy ones I received the other day from an alphabet named place! I am going to put fruit or something in it and set it on my Z-bar just for looks. I am sure it would work as it has draining holes and many for draining, after all thats what its for. I just think it is a beautiful piece to put in my black/red kitchen. Its really nice, large& pretty bright red with a shiney silver look around it! Thanks, Wal-mart for the pretty things you find! Although its a bit more pricey than I would normally pay. But, worth it for this bad boy!
This bad boy is pretty bright red
MaMitchell - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/30/2013Nice colander--full size, sturdy, with bright enamel coating that makes it pretty enough to leave out on the counter! The handles are easily removable, if desired.
Very nice.
boblin - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/2/2024I love the enameled collanders. Bought three sizes. Definitely nice! Nothing is worse than a too small collander, or one that cannot handle the weight and "leg" collapses! They are lighter than my older one...that someone sqashed!! I'd suggest the 7 quart for canning or big family get togethers. 5 quart is perfect for 4-5 people. 3 quart for 1-2 people.
Wow! Big!
Catherine - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase5/9/2014Only two suggestions. Make the holes progressively smaller as they go to the bottom and make it dishwasher safe. Otherwise, it is great. Not many red colanders on the market. Color red was important.
Pretty colander.

Best thing in my kitchen
babycakes28 - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/4/2024I bought a 3 qart, 5 quart and the 7 quart. This one is my workhorse! My granddaughter smashed my old one, on accident. I've had that one over 25 years! These are beautiful! The base on the bottom is solid, no collapsing legs! Enameling is perfect on all of them! Excellent for potatoes, pasta etc. perfect size for a family's day to day use! I hang mine on the wall. Beautiful display, and hopefully won't get smashed! Ha ha! I've always kept them hanging. 10 out of ten! Love these.
Very handy and beautiful!
Catherine - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/22/2013Appreciate: large size, substantial base provides stability and prevents contact with sink surfaces, enamel so far looks durable, sturdy weight unlike "cheapy" flimsier models, handles are big enough to use easily. I think this colander is going to last a long time even with heavy use and it's definitely nice to look at too!
Very happy I bought this
WassailT - 5 out of 5 stars review3/26/2012I got this product because of the price and the color red. It works great and I found other uses when not in use from other reviews. during shipping it got bent around the top, but my husband straighten it out. the color is not a deep red, It's lighter than my other red decor.I love it anywaycozy126
- 3 out of 5 stars review4/17/2014I bought this a year ago and I should have read the description/instructions better. It says hand wash only. I put everything through the dishwasher. I should not have purchased this. The bottom has rusted and the paint is peeling off. It is not food safe anymore. It does make a cute fruit bowl, but I wanted a colander. =/
HAND WASH ONLY
Heideherbert - 5 out of 5 stars review10/30/2018This colander wasn't exactly what I was looking for but Hayneedle offered the closest product too what I wanted. I was looking for a grape purple 1 quart and this was a plum purple 1 1/2 quart. It arrived on time, on the day they stated, as it was well packaged it arrived in perfect condition.
Good and Sturdy
SummerOriginally posted onHayneedle - 5 out of 5 stars review9/17/2012I love this collander. I had been using a collapsable collander mainly for storage space. I really never did like it. When we remodeled our kitchen I tossed out or gave away a lot of my kitchen items one being an old style collander. Wish I had kept it but I didn't. Anyway I saw this one and liked the style of it very much and the fact when putting it in my sink to drain things or wash items, it did not sit directly in my sink. There is a space to keep what is inside the collander away from the base of your kitchen sink. The quality of the item is excellent. I highly recommend this item to anyone.
Very nice collander
LoveMyTNWalmarts - 4 out of 5 stars review12/19/2017I did not realize how SMALL this colander would be. It was a requested gift to my daughter fo her birthday.....when she opened it, we all sort of snickered. I love the little colander, but for a family of 5, it is pretty small. However, since my daughter had to cook gluten free meals for herself since she has Celiac disease, she was happy to have the smaller version to use for he own pasta, etc. she requested yellow....so the color is perfect.
Doubtful at first, but this purchase turned out to be apprec
LayleOriginally posted onHayneedle - 5 out of 5 stars review12/19/2012I bought this collander to use as a light cover, not as a collander. I saw the coolest picture of how the holes in the collander shine lights onto the ceiling that I really liked. The paint on the collander is baked on. Since it didn't come in the color I wanted, I'm going to paint it (not sure how the heat from the light bulb will affect the paint I put on but I'll see). If I were to use it as a collander, it seems that it is really sturdy and it looks like it would hold up for a long time as a collander. Except for the color, I give it 5 stars for what I want to use it for.
collander
phnixstar - 5 out of 5 stars review11/20/2011I works like any other colander. It seems to be very durable.McEachron

Holds A Lot Of Pasta!
bawdyaudiOriginally posted onHayneedle - 5 out of 5 stars review1/29/2019I bought the colander in turquoise and it looks really pretty in person. It looks sharp out on the counter. Holds a lot of pasta and works well.
Holds as much pasta as you can manage
