One of the best.......

This is by far and away one of the best action RPGs I've ever played. Bioware did a wonderful job of giving you loads of options to start your character off. After that, the possibilities seem endless with the do's/don'ts and moral decisions you make throughout the game. At some points, I had to stop and think about what I should do/don't. I even consulted my wife a few times. All in all, this game has LOADS of replay value, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs.

What a dissapointment

I was looking forward to playing this game for awhile. I waited for the price to fall before purchasing it, (thankfully). While the storyline is great the graphics are terrible and fighting tedious. It is hard to keep track of hit points and has a very linear gameplay. You spend alot of time in overly complicated menus wasting time. I felt like the game is 10 years old when playing. I am glad I didn't pay full price and will gladly go trade it in for something else.

great game but the graphics werent as good as i thought they would be considering the technology coming out now, the graphics were still good though. fun game and there are a lot of decisions you can choose during the game that will decide what happens and what equipment you can get

    Bioware wins again

Bioware is a company I have been a fan of since the early 1990's. Dungeons and Dragons games used to be their main creation, but they have since come into their own niche. This game allows you to choose one of six backgrounds, three classes, and then two of four subclasses. These choices effect your game endings, in addition to side quests and characters you can add to your party as the game progresses. This game allows full control of your party of four, but most people will just stick to the main character and allow the computer to control the other members. You can customize how the computer uses your other characters, and it does a rather good job of it, but it is not perfect. This is probably my only problem with the game. The game ...

    Amazing!

Dragon Age: Origins is seriously one of the best RPGs I have ever played, and that says a lot coming from a hardcore Final Fantasy gamer. Some people have bashed the games graphics. I think that's just crazy! The graphics are AMAZING! The characters are so detailed, that even their eyes move while they talk. The multitude of choices you can make give the game an incredible replay value! And I also really love how they gave you more then just the typical boy/girl romance options in this game! Thank you Bioware for recognizing that that isn't what everyone wants! The story is deep, emotional, and immensly captivating! I can't wait for the expansion pack coming out in March! If you are a true RPG gamer, buy this game! You won't be disappointed...

    it's interesting

the game has many different options.such as beeing good/ evil, mage/ rogue/ knight, sub catigories of each/ choice of juctice killing off most of npc that anger you. not to mention that you get to kill off a dragon with your party or by your self. (by yourself is Very difficult.

    Dragon Age: Origins

Its an OK RPG; there are a lot of hours of play. The frustrating part is character leveling (which is out of your control -no power leveling) and money acquisition for purchases (and limited purchasing places). Enemies once killed don't spawn again. Lots of time is spent viewing videos and responding to them! Lots of choices for responses, but it doesn't help you build a character really. Not bad, but not Oblivion!

    still decent

The graphics in this game are sub par. It runs much smoother on the PC than on the PS3; it's choppy and glitchy. I have had 3 occassions where the game has frozen the console. Other than those shortcomings however, the game does deliver a well-made action RPG. The most praise that can be given to this game is the depth to which the lore has been presented for the Dragon Age world. There dialogue between characters are also superbly done (since this is an american made RPG, not a japanese RPG). The game play offers opportunities to go on sidequests on occassion, but are not necessary. After a few hours of playing, the rarely choppy graphics become something that you don't mind anymore because the story will immerse you. Character creation ...

    Mediocre might be too kind.

Wow this game might be my disapointment of the year so far. At the E3 expo, audiences were wowed and in awe of the next epic RPG from the BIOWARE creators. What they and I for that matter recieved is a clunky and slow game that fails to deliver on its promise of a grandiose and an exciting game play experience. This game would have been better suited as a PC title only. It is styled after PC point and click games. Combat is slow and often completly unresponsive. We were promised approx. 80 hours of game play what we gamers got is 25 hours of game play and the extra 55 hours are spent leveling up your character and navigating through attack menus, spell menus, chinese food menus, etc. The story of this game may very well be good, but I for ...
