I decided to switch from nonstick to stainless steel. I bought this set based on the reviews. I love it! I use at least one piece of the set every day!

- 5 out of 5 stars review12/2/2011I was very excited to get these..they were really nice and shiny!! Then I quickly realized I didn't know how to cook in stainless steel!!! Literally everything I cooked stuck and was just a huge mess. I recalled reading a review that said lower the temp...I lowered it to half of what I used to cook on and several more tries and can of cooking spray later....I am a huge fan!! I love them!! So much more durable than the nonstick I've had in the past..no worries about anything peeling or flaking. These are great..I keep a nice supply of Brillo, SOS pads and they clean up wonderfully. I do a lot of cooking and I expect to have these for a very long time...Great Buy Great Price!!
From Nonstick to Stainless!!
NewMommyToIsa - 5 out of 5 stars review7/19/2010When I got a bird I had to give away all my non-stick cookwear since the coating releases toxic fumes. The fumes wouldn't hurt a person but a bird absorbs almost everything that goes into their lungs. This is a beautiful set and has been great. I actually like the flavor of my food better since I have started using oil and butter again. I just made chili with this set and it tasted great. I don' have to worry about a metal fork scratcing the pan when I taste the food as I cook. I love this so much more and even if I didn't have a bird I would never go back to using non-stick cookware.

The glass lid that fits the stockpot also fits the larger skillet, and the three different sized saucepans in one set is convenient. Cleans up easily, food cooks wonderful! Don't hesitate to buy, best purchase I've EVER made from Walmart!

Snugglz - 5 out of 5 stars review12/31/2010My husband bought this for me for Christmas to replace my old stainless set. This set is awesome! I love it! They have a nice hefty weight to them, a flat bottom (important once you have ever tried to cook with a skillet that is not flat) and heat very well. I have to turn the burners down because they heat quickly, evenly and retain heat better. They look smaller than my old set, but I think they are just deeper, which works out so my cooktop is not crowded when using all four burners. This set exceeded my expectations for a cook set from WalMart, and I am sooooo glad he picked this one!

If you like to cook, this is the set you need. I use mine everyday and have really put it to the test. I highly recommend this cookware to anyone. I give it an Excellent rating!

This is a great set have no problems with them, as long as you take of them like the directions say they'll stay nice and shinny. The only problem I have is they say their dishwasher safe. True they'll survive your dishwasher but some of the shine comes off first time in the dishwasher! luckly i only put one pan in there. and that's the last time their going in the dishwasher.

star622 - 2 out of 5 stars review12/20/2009I purchased this product in August and have used them almost everyday for 4 months now. I hand-wash after each use, and the underside of the rims on each piece have begun to rust and spit out black stuff. The connecting part of the handles to the pot have begun to rust. Beautiful when you first purchase, but this is a major fail for Farberware. I'm going with the Calphalon that farberware knocked off.

1stTimeReview - 1 out of 5 stars review2/9/2011After using Farberware stainless product several years and being happy with it, I purchased this new 10 Peaces set last month. This is really total disappointment, after just one use the pots turn dark inside like it was manufactured using cheap stainless material. I tried to contact Farberware, but all I got is the auto system and never a real customer's support personal. Do not buy Farberware if you want support.

It lasted over 20 years and would have lasted longer if I hadn't forgotten pans on the stove. This set is far less expensive than my previous set but is more substantial. I love the handles and the clear lids are a plus I've never enjoyed before. The quality of the product, as well as stainless steel's quick and even cooking make this a real steal of a deal! - 5 out of 5 stars review12/2/2009I was given a stainless steel Farberware set as a wedding present 20 years ago. It is still in GREAT condition, no stains, burnt bottoms, or loose handles. My sister's husband had occasion to cook at my house a few years ago and liked it so much he bought his own set. My mother-in-law was in town and helped cook for Thanksgiving and she liked the Faberware so much, she wants a set too!

It takes a little getting used to if you've been using non-stick, but if you cook slowly on medium and use some olive oil, you will have a better outcome. Directions say to boil vinegar and water to release stuck on food and it works great!

The handles on the first set had screws that would loosen over time and the screws just became stripped so after 30 years I bought a new set. I took my original set to our camper and still use it, loose handles and all. I just couldn't get rid of Farberware! It's too good! I like the way the handles are now constructed and I did not go for the non-stick deliberately. My full stainless steel Farberware is non-stick without having to worry about using special utensils or worry about Teflon coating flaking off over time. I do not own a dishwasher and rarely use a spray on coating for any of my foods. I do sear items on occasion but ra...
Excellent cookware
Mellie0514 - 4 out of 5 stars review11/24/2010Very thick stainless steel with rolled edges at top. Handles comfortable. Nice to see when the food comes to a boil without lifting lid. Only drawback is that bubbling liquid often leaks out under lid and runs down the side of the pot onto the stove unless you periodically lift the lid to let the steam escape.

FINALLY I decided to shop around for a set that met my criteria: Stainless steel, (I don't want nonstick coating), silicone handles, and glass lids. I am thrilled with this cookset! The quality is even better than expected! The bottoms are thick and the pots feel nice and heavy in my hand. If you are shopping for a quality set of cookware for a terrific price, you cannot pass up this product!

Rubber-covered handles ensure a good grip without danger of burns. Bought these for our winter home and liked them so much that I bought them for our permanent home as well.

Most of the pans come clean when washing but not all spots come out as well as I'd like but I read you have to get Bar Keepers Friend to scrub the areas that don't clean right up but it doesn't affect anything other than how it looks which is not all that bad really.knlcrew1
