I ordered this bed along with the matching dresser and nightstand for my almost 3-year-old's new "big girl" room and after reading mixed reviews, I was extremely pleasantly surprised especially with the low price and it coming from Wal-Mart! This bed, when put together correctly like my husband did, is extremely sturdy, beautiful detail and finish, and could definitely last for many years! My daughter loves her new bed. My only suggestion, as someone else mentioned, is to add some slats for the mattress support. We are using just a mattress so she will be low to the ground, but if you used a box spring, it would be fine. Highly recommended! 12/19/2009

Rated 4 out of 5 by MaddysMom0408 Great Bed, Great Price We bought this bed for my 2 1/2 year old as her "Big Girl Bed" and I expect to get many, many years use out of it. After careful consideration and reading other reviews on here I decided to order it site to store and it couldn't have worked out better. My husband was able to put the bed together with minimal assistance (I helped once the side rails had to go on) and it took less than an hour. As recommended in other reviews, we did purchase a mattress and boxspring to use with the bed or you will definitely need more slats or a piece of plywood to support just a mattress. Overall we are very pleased so far with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to others. 11/10/2010

The frame is sturdy and can be matched with just about any other white peices of furniture to make a cute set. 10/11/2010
