Some of the parts in the assembly were partially damaged, but the manufacturer/supplier promptly replaced all the damaged parts. I am quite satisfied with my purchase and feel its worth more than what I spent. 05/18/2012
Needed Some Adjusting i bought this bunk bed set for my daughter and step daughter. they love them. the beds were fairly easy to put together as far as i know (my friends helped while i finished unpacking). the beds themselves look very high quality and very sturdy. I am hoping these last year after year. my only complaint is that the mattresses tend to sink in between the slats. i am goign to have to get more slats, or rather just a piece of plywood to keep at least the top mattress up. i would hate to have my step daughter feel like she is going to slide through the bed! 05/15/2012
These are not $1000 bunk beds Just got these beds yesterday and set them up for our boys who are almost 3 and almost 5. Took us about 3 hours to put them together, but it was relatively easy. A couple of the holes were not perfectly aligned and we had to drill larger holes for the screws on the ladder or else risk splitting the wood, but overall the folks in Vietnam did a pretty good job :)Not sure what people were saying about the color, but these look just like the picture and even match (albeit a touch lighter) an old walnut dresser we already had. The wood is easily dented and scratched, so we'll have to be careful about that, but the frame is very sturdy and the wood seems very solid. The slats are a bit too far apart for our liking, so we may get some ply board for extra support, but even those seem strong and they were all nicely sanded and none were bowed.Are these excellent beds that will be passed from generation to generation? Nope. These are good, solid enough beds for kids who will probably abuse them anyway and the price fits what they are. 05/13/2012
