Rated 5 out of 5 by Ellonclre Sturdy nice Loft Bed This is a great bed. My daugther truly LOVES it. The slanted ladder makes it so much easier for in/out for her. It is sturdy and secure.I put hers together with the decortive headboard/footboard panels turned to the inside, instead of the outside, b/c it's such a tight fit in her room, people wouldn't be able to see the panels if they were turned towards the walls. It's nice that it works both ways like that, but that's why I gave it only 4 stars for appearance, is because they should have made the headboard/footboard's decortive on both sides (outwards & inwards).It says to only use a 6" mattress in it, but we have a 9" mattress and the guard rail still goes up over it. So I still feel she is safe. 06/30/2012

Like many of you, I read these reviews before I purchased this bed.I ordered it, assembled it, and it's been in my 10-yr-old's room for 2 weeks now.Concerns:1. Yes, there is a "paint" odor. We wiped down the bed after assembly, and it reduced the smell quite a bit.2. It took a while to assemble (compared to Ikea or Sauder products.) But I feel the construction is very solid, better than the bunk beds we purchased at the furniture store. I recommend two people assemble the loft; there were plenty of times I wish I had a second pair of hands.3. Read from earlier reviews about damage from shipping; mine arrived at my door intact and in perfect working order within 4 days (even though I paid for slow shipping.)4. Recommend purchasing felt pads for the bottom of the posts, and bottom of ladder if you have a wood floor. While the loft is sturdy, it does rub the floor a bit as child moves around above.LIKES:1. Solid construction2. Very "tidy" (ladder fits perfectly, bed supports fit perfectly, exposed hardware is smooth, no rough edges, paint uniform and sturdy)3. Lots of room underneath.4. Good for an older child too; even my 15-yr-old finds the head space comfortable.Hope this helps! 03/11/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nana7753 I bought 2 of these for my grandaughters who share a small room. They are 11 and 9, and love these beds. The only problem I had putting the beds together was the fact that you have to use an allen wrench, and they are very hard on the fingers. Some of the screws were really hard to get all the way in on the first try. I did put the beds together by myself. There were a couple of spots that had marks on them and the boxes were not in real good shape when they came. All the parts were there and the instructions were easy to follow. 05/15/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by LJVP Great bed! Parts of the bed were damaged in shipping, but I called the service center of the manufacturer and had replacement parts within three days! The bed was pretty easy to put together; my husband and I did it in about 2 hours not rushing. We glued the dowels in place for more stability but of course, that means we probably cannot take it apart in the future. Tonight will be the first night my 8 year old daughter gets to sleep in her new loft bed and she is super excited. I love the look of the loft bed and it seems very strong and sturdy. 01/01/2013
