Can't Belive! - They can sell this ! At First Looking at this printer in the electronics store I thought Wow! Cool ~Tablet Nice. So of coarse I had to have it! - So I bought one. Get it Home and start with Loading the software into my Laptop1) First problem software Absolutely will not Load on a brand new HP ENVY 17" Laptop running Win 7 x64 - Install 1/2 way Crash uninstall - reinstall Crash then Hrs' on the Phone with some non English speaking Tech - Hrs' wasted several times with no resolve. - So I have to limp along with Windows 7 drivers that don't support scanning or any of the advanced features of the printer.2) The Tablet is Not worth a darn either it's Slow ~ Real Slow ~ Buggy and they are saying it's android - but it's there version with No Android Store or nearly anything like the real Android Market with tons of apps etc.... It looks like all you can get is HP apps with this HP product.3) The Ink is Very expensive for what you get - You will hate this Printer after a week trying to use it.Did I mention that after 3 Months - I'm on my second Printer under Warranty because the first one stopped working because of a electronic malfunction in the printer portion.I have over the Years Owned a HP G85 All-in-One, HP C309a, HP L7780 and now this HP C510 - All of them have broken down from one problem or another and Cost allot to keep running.Don't wast your money on this printer it will be problems for you I guarantee it. 05/10/2011
Wonderful Wireless Printer. I bought the HP eStation C510a after several months of reading reviews and I must say this is a pretty amazing printer. I've had this printer for about two weeks and I've been impressed with its features and its value for what I paid for it.I was able to have the printer and the Zeen detachable display connect to my wireless network within minutes of plugging it in. This was done without a computer! The Zeen picked up our Apple AirPort Extreme wireless base station and after pairing the password the printer and the tablet were up and running. Within several minutes our iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G S were able to send pictures (via the HP app) to the printer. The iPhones were also to send portable document format files and 'word' files to the printer very easily.The Zeen is a nice complement to the printer. Keep it mind that it is not stand-alone table computer! It works as a nice e-reader (such as the Barnes and Noble 'Nook') and as a basic web-browser. I've been able to download the newest updates to the Zeen and await the Android 2.2 update in the near future (I tried to enroll in the Froyo beta program but they reached their applicant limit). The Zeen has crashed a few times, but nothing major as seems it has to do with the 2.1 Android OS (the Zeen has not crashed when using the web-browser, the applications, or the Barnes and Noble eReader). Keep in mind that it takes awhile to get used to the Zeen (this coming from my iPhone's 4 'A4' processor which is speedier than the 'Zeen's' processor)-but once you to it feels 'alright'.Print capability is great. Photos are clean and bright. Standard documents are sharp and dark. I have not had the oppurtunity to test the efax feature but once I do I hope to add any remarks to this review. I've been able to send print jobs from the iPhone and from the SDHC chip that plugs directly into the Zeen.I cannot wait for out refreshed 27 inch iMac (with AirPrint) to arrive and to continue further testing of this printer. But the fact that I've been able to send print jobs without a standalone computer is pretty amazing. Good start HP. I've yet to have any major problems in our Apple Computer Inc. ecosystem with the C510a. Now I just wonder if they will release a future 'Zeen'-type display with web/OS? Regardless, this is a very good printer. 05/10/2011
Great Printer but one problem The printer is great but there is one big issue.the big issue is the scanning , if you used the front panel for scaning (Zeen) the only opation you will get is to scan to SD card, you will not be able to scan to email or scan to your computer.This is not good at all hence this is a wireless printer. You should be able to scan to youe email or your PC directly form your printer 05/06/2011
Great Printer It only took me about 30 minutes to set the printer up, after I removed it from the box. Connecting to the internet was a breeze. All i needed was my code or password that i setup my router with. the wireless kicked in right away. I now can send Pictures via email to my printer from anywhere. My wife loves it because she can get realtime pictures of our grand childern from Calif. Alabama and Mich, i havn't set down to check out the Zeen as yet, but it looksinteresting. i do not use it for faxing as i fax from a fax machine so do not know if the efax works or not. i might try it sometime. Dispite what some have said, the ink cart. that come with it seem to last as long as the regular ink. i have printed 10 4x6 pictures and many 8.5x11 sheets and they are still going.We are very excited about this printer and in the future when i tackel the zeen, i am sure we will find it exciting also.
