Overall good... This trashcan replaces another IR trashcan that decided to go to a better place after 6 years of service in my kitchen. I'll tell ya what though, if you are used to an IR trash can you'll never want to go back to a regular can or a foot pedal one ever again...I like that this trashcan has a separate bin to encourage me to recycle more--I am amazed how much of my trash really is recyclable. I also like that you can use an AC adapter instead of 4D batteries--I just wish the adapter came with it. What I don't like is that sometimes the lid closes relatively hard then gets stuck until I pry it up with my fingers (the buttons won't open it even). This is an easy fix though, I just had a couple of rubber "feet" from another gadget and put it on the divider under the lid by the buttons... Another thing that is good/bad is that each of the bins have a handle on them. It is nice if you don't line your trashcan, but if you do and your trash is a little packed, it kind of gets in the way. It looks just OK. It's a lot larger than I was expecting, but then again it also holds 2 (8-14 gallon) trash bags, and it's sitting up on wheels, which is a nice feature, especially when it's time to clean the floor under the trash.I love my IR trash cans. It is great for keeping my dogs and the smells out. Plus, I don't have to worry about cross contamination or breaking the foot pedal... And for whatever reason it always turns into a conversation piece. I've been shopping around for other IR trash cans and considering it is really two in one, it is a realtively economical solution... I just think IR trash cans in general are still a little pricey. I'm just hoping it is as big of a trooper as my last one--6 years is pretty darn impressive. 01/07/2011
Overall Love it We bought ours on 08/16/10 and it broke on its own on 11/16/10 -the part that broke is the right corner spring thingy- all of a sudden one day *CRACK* it snaps on its own and now the lid wont openBefore it broke everyone in the household loved it! It made keeping the kitchen clean while cooking so much easier! Even family & friends who come over love it. Even if the Warranty doesnt replace my broken one, I'm going to get a new one.I just dont understand how it broke?!?! No one touched it, except when taking out the garbage, and its not like we were rough with it! 11/20/2010
Convenient Really like the itouch feature (reason for buying it) and that its got both trash and recycling. Wish containers would be a lil bigger. Easy to clean easy to maintain. 04/21/2010
We love the sensor recycle can! We were in search of a stainless steel recycle trash can to help me organize the recycling and trash at my house. I found these multible bin cans and decided to give it a try. It looks pretty and durable matching our stainless steel appliances. The two sensor activated lids work very well. We can do cooking without keep washing our hands since the lids of the trash can are handsfree. We love it! 12/02/2009
