The iTouchless square 13-gallon trash can MX is designed for maximum performance. It is touch-free to keep your hands clean. Just place your hand within the sensor range and the lid lifts. There are manual open/close buttons that allow you to keep the lid open. This durable stainless steel trash can features an extra-wide opening for larger items like pizza boxes and milk cartons. This battery-operated garbage trash can has a trash-retainer ring to hold trash bags. It uses four D sized batteries, and has a port for an AC adaptor which is not included.

iTouchless Square Touchless 13-Gallon Trash Can MX, Stainless Steel 11 13
A big difference We had the smaller iTouchless can for approx 5 years. The gear that opens the lids broke a couple of times and at last we could no longer glue it together. The MX is definitely bigger and seems more industrial. (Not as streamlined as the smaller version) The force with which it opens the lid took some getting used to but we are hopeful that means the mechanism is stronger. We love the convenience of the touchless can. You will too! 05/21/2011
They finally got it right... They finally got it right with this model and I am very pleased with this product.We had the older version of this trashcan & it's been nothing but trouble for years. They redesigned the whole thing, this time putting intelligent thought into it. The bag is easier to remove & install because the rim sits on top of the can instead of inside and there are air holes to eliminate the suction that made a full bag very hard to remove. There is even a place to put your fingers if you need to manually open the lid. The 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bags (the standard in every store) fit perfectly.I ordered the AC adapter as well, even though the batteries in the old one usually lasted a year or so. The adapter came a week after the trashcan did, so I used batteries for a week - they are much, much easier to install than the knuckle busting older version.My only complaint is that this must have been a return - the box was not taped shut. There is evidence that it once had tape on it but it wasn't there when the box was delivered - it's a wonder that the contents did not fall out during shipping. The Top section was not properly packed inside the can and there are a few visible dents in the can from the top bouncing around inside during shipment.Other than that, it came 2 days after I ordered it, which is one of the main reasons I order things from Wal-Mart instead of Amazon.com, even though it may cost a few dollars more. If there is ever a problem, I can always return it to my local Wal-Mart store instead of shipping it back to Amazon. 04/10/2011
Love it! I did a lot of reviewing before buying this product and it is as great as everyone said. Yeah, it's just a trash can but really like it. I was looking for a stainless steel trash which cost just as much if not more with no automatic lid. This was just a bonus getting the automatic lid. Definitely works better with the adapter vs batteries. I would recommend purchasing the adapter. 05/14/2012
Great Trash Can and Great Price! This is my second Touchless Trash Can. The first one that I purchased lasted me for (4) years however it was a slim trash can. I really enjoy this trash can, it has a wide enough opening for larger items. It you are thinking of purchasing a Touchless Trash Can, I highly recommend this one and the price is right. I have viewed other websites on line which sold similar trash cans at a higher price. This is a great trash can. 05/02/2012
