Item Description
The iTouchless Fully Automatic Trashcan is equipped with infrared sensor technology and improved sensitivity to prevent accidental openings. This iTouchless stainless steel trash can allows a 100% touch-free and one-hand operation. Use 11-gallon tall kitchen size trash bags in this infrared sensor trash can to eliminate cross-contamination and odor. As your hand or debris enter the zone 6 inches from the infrared sensor on top of the trash can, the lid will automatically open. The lid of this kitchen trash can will remain open if debris or hand is within the 6 inch range of the infrared sensor. After 3 seconds your hand moves away from the lid, it closes automatically. At the top front of the lid there are open and close buttons for manual operation, and there is an on/off power switch at the back of this iTouchless Trash Can as well. This automatic trash can operates with AC power adapter or 4 D batteries that are sold separately.

Looks great in public. We have only had them for a few weeks, but they look really good in the office building. Employees are talking about getting them to use in their own homes. 07/07/2011
Touchless Trash can Item stopped working almost immediately 05/17/2011
BROKE This broke for us after 3 mo of use. It doesnt open automatically anymore. Its useless now and harder to open. Also the bag doesnt hold in very good. 01/08/2011
cheaply made product We enjoyed this trash can until it quit working after only 6 months of use. We spent $20 to get a replacement lid under the warranty, and it also quit working after 6 months. Since by then it was just out of warranty, we would have to spend $40 for a new lid plus shipping, which is nearly the price we paid for the entire can. I took the lid apart and found 3 broken plastic parts inside the motor housing. It seems that the quality of the plastic they use for these is not good enough. There are only 2 of us using this product and we did not abuse it.We will not buy any more iTouchless products, based on our experience with this one. 11/20/2010
