The lenses work great and show lots of clear detail. The focus knobs work well and the microscope was a good deal for the price. 01/04/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by abo6 I ordered the microscope for my son as birthday gift and he has enjoyed it tremendously since receiving it. I chose this one over others in the similar price range because of the extra digital eyepiece. I can easily connect it to a computer and have the displayed on a big screen. Which is Cool! This feature is especially good for a group of people to view together! Incredible, isn't it? The manual was ok for me but could be better written for children to understand the different aspects that could be done with it. 12/04/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent quality and performance for the money I bought this microscope for a Christmas present after I bought a microscope and telescope set from Toys r us and found out that they weren't worth diddly. So I researched microscopes for a long time before deciding on this one. I figured if I bought one for them I wanted the best quality for the price- a low price. I bought it knowing it was on the cheap side, but at least I could use it and it was made by a company who made more than just toys. I am an engineer and used lab microscopes at various jobs and to my suprise this microscope had a very similar quality. I was plesently suprised by the quality and ease of use. It comes in a plastic protective carrying case similar to other tools I have. It also has the option for taking pictures and video on the computer, which I thought was important in case the kids (6 and 8) couldn't pick up looking into the eye piece real easy. They did though, with no problem and so I ended up setting the video capturing up myself. Not the best resolution/clarity with the video part, but better than I expected from the cost aspect. Totally worth the upgrade over the playtoys they have at Toys r us. It looks and feels like one you would have in a lab... only muuuuch less expensive. Good buy. 01/08/2012
