You can also use it for network connection with up to 253 computers and other devices. To access ADSL Internet connection, however, your telephone must have ADSL service. This 4-port Ethernet modem supports maximum data rate of up 24Mbps for you to access web pages without any delay. You can also use this high-speed modem as router by plugging all the devices directly into the modem or via a hub, which offers more flexibility and ease of usage. The Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Network Address Translation (NAT) firewalls, Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection, and IP filtering makes your network connection secured. The Zoom Telephonics X5 modem supports most of the ADSL protocols and can be setup with any web browser.

Good price and nice modem I had to return mine because I felt it got to hot and this worried me.Take note of who is your internet service. Some will block you from using a modem that is not thiers.Which was another reason I had to return it. 03/16/2012
