All of the Walmart stores need to carry this product. Even though it may cost a little more than the competing water filter systems. It performs much better than the rest.

I have tried many water filter products claiming to filter all the unwanted stuff from your water. But only zero water filters truly delivers a zero reading on a water ppm water tester.

I think the Zero water filters are a very good buy, however I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that they are not longer stocked in the Walmart stores nor is any of the Zero water products that I have seen.

I have no idea what a TDS is and 006 doesn't seem very high. So does that mean they have to be changed every other day.

    • The filter is based on ion exchange. When filter reads 006, it means that the resin is completely used up. A TDS of 006 is not high and a potable drinking water can taste good and of course safe up to 120. However, if you use zerowater, you must change at 006 since the resin bank is empty and you may not get the desired ions in water. The water will taste bad and may have something other than the replaced hydrogen ion. In short, TDS of 006 is okay if you use reverse osmosis or any other water treatment. If you use ion exchange, you need to change it when resin is depleted. Zerowater resin is depleted when it reads 006.

    • No mine usually last a month for a family of 2. We use it on all cooking water or drinking water. My wife drinks about 5 bottles a day plus 2 cups of coffee.

    • When you bought your Zero Water system you should have gotten instructions and a water testing meter. How often the filters need to be changed depends on how much filtered water you use and your local water conditions. In my area we change them every three to four months depending on the meter readings. When in doubt read the instructions.

    • TDS are Total Dissolved Solids. A typical 200 TDS count from your tap water will treat about 30 gallons of water before seeing a reading of 006 on the TDS meter. The lower the TDS from the tap, the longer the filters will last. You need to test your water to know for yourself. The Phoenix area typically has very high TDS counts however.
