Just as good as "Name Brand" We have had this coffee table for two weeks now, and it's definitely lived up to my expectations. It's completely made of real wood, with a very nice dark wood/coffee colored finish. It's able to be polished with Pledge, which really makes the finish come out then. The bottom shelf if one solid piece that is held in place by notches cut out in the legs. Believe me, this thing is sturdy! It's definitely capable of taking some serious use in front of the TV. If you like propping your feet up on a coffee table while watching the tube, this table can handle it with no worries. It literally took 10 minutes to put together, if even that long! Great product!! I'm super impressed! I used Site-to-Store for shipping, which saved me $30 and I was able to get it within 10 days. It weighs about 50 pounds, and is held together by the legs with pre-drilled holes and bolts that screw in from the support rails that are under the tabletop. I would definitely recommend this coffee table to anyone who's looking for something of quality, while still wanting to maintain a tight budget. It's worth every penny. 06/22/2009

I wasn't sure getting it online you never know what its really going to look like, but its so nice, real wood, really sterdy, great finish. I get so many compliments on it. Great Table Set, solid wood and wonderful price We purchased both the coffee table and end table a few weeks ago and are very pleased with them. We almost didn't buy them since we read other reviews saying they were not dark. Don't let them fool you, only the underside is ligher, the part you see is a very nice dark expresso color (much darker than milk chocolate, think dark chocolate with a minor hint of brown). They have a subtle yet pretty wood grain and are very sturdy, made of solid wood and super easy to put together. They are a steal for the price (we paid $200 for both)! 02/08/2010
Nice but its definitely brown We didn't get but one piece of this out of the box before deciding to return it. We had hoped it would be nearly black but it is more like a milk chocolate color. I was very upset because it looks like a nice piece and seemed to be well-made/sturdy. Oh well.... the search continues! 07/22/2009
