Rated 4 out of 5★ by dunworkn Perfect for Garden, Beach ,Outdoor Yard Tool This auger tool has been very beneficial for many outside projects. I have used it to trench under areas like sidewalks to run conduit/water lines, in the garden to make planter holes, drill holes in yard around trees/shrubbery for fertilizer & plant food, making holes in ground around house foundation for things like termite treatment (note: safety first-- always be careful and know where your critical areas, such as buried electrical lines, utilities, drainage, etc. before drilling). It is excellent to take a portable drill motor and this auger along with you to the beach---makes a quick hole in the sand for your umbrella (save you money so you don't have to rent umbrellas). I have found it very handy to drill starter holes when digging holes for posts/pipe, etc. (would recommend you use a stronger drill motor for these tasks.). A very useful tool to have around the house for several purposes. 04/18/2014

Rated 5 out of 5★ by H9995 Great tool at a fair price. This tool is an excellent addition to anyone's gardening/digging efforts. It quickly digs out a hole at your desired depth in a very precise manner. Being 30" long it also means you can stand up straight without putting a stain on your back and legs. I bought a powerful 8 amp variable speed corded drill to put plenty of power into the digging operation. You will need to use both hands on the drill to control the speed and rate of digging. Having a clutch on your drill is very helpful. It is not just for planting bulbs. I have drilled holes around scrubs, trees and even my tomato plants to add fertilizer. I have several fence posts that have rotted away and it can make short work of preparing a 5-6 inch hole 18 inches deep. A great tool at a fair price. 04/19/2014

Rated 5 out of 5★ by nini5556 Real Workhorse ! I am a single grandmother of 60 and just put in a raised bed garden. Put in a fence to keep out the dogs. I needed to dig post holes and don't have the upper body strength for post hole diggers so tried this bit. I dug three holes in about 10 minutes. One thing about it you have to file down the round end that goes in the drill or it just turns in the drill, I filed mine triangular shaped and it worked great. I was so surprised it worked so well, it ate right through the small roots. I highly recommend this auger. Going to use it to mix my soil and fertilizer. For anyone thinking about gardening try this inexpensive tool it will save a lot of back breaking work. WORK SMART NOT HARD ! Happy Gardening ! 07/14/2014
