XOvision XOD1760BT In-Dash Double Din 7" Wide Screen Touch DVD Receiver Fully Motorized W/Built-In Bluetooth 3.7 5 47 53
Great for the price I installed this in a 2003 Chevy Suburban. The install was really complicated and not for anyone not willing to make major alterations to their vehicle. The unit is too deep to fit the opening in the Suburban and the plastic housing had to be cut to allow for the unit. The space is still very cramped and the wiring had to be adjusted perfectly to get the unit to fit properly. Then the dash had to be dremeled to allow for proper fit as well. The parking brake wire can be grouded which is a plus. The sound quality is great especially witht he amplified Bose speakers in the Suburban. I hate that I loose the use of the steering wheel mounted controls however. I also installed a backseat monitor. The DVD picture quality is great. Plays MP3's which is a plus for me. radio stations don't tune well in my opinion. The bluetooth capability is FANTASTIC though. Paired right up with my AT&T phone. Making and recieving calls through the stereo is a big plus. No more contraptions in my ear. Overall this is well worth the price paid. 02/20/2010
Great product I will not go so far as to say this is the best video player or mp3 playing stereo on the market. It's video quality is not perfect at an angle and the menu system is a little complex. But I bought this as a budget conscious decision and am blown away with the features of this unit. It simply does everything, and does it pretty well.I have excellent radio reception, which seemed to be a problem on earlier models.Bluetooth pairing was instant and simple with my Blackberry. So far the call quality seems to be comparable to my previous in car bluetooth Motorola T505.For the price, this is a great unit.Be prepared, however to do some work on whatever install kit you purchase, as the screen requires plenty of headroom to function. 07/19/2009
Does the job for the money. Nothing fancy though. I realized this unit was a lot cheaper than those with similar features, but after having it installed it clunked out on me the first day. The replacement unit works fine, but my pros and cons are as follows:Pros:Bluetooth connectivity is simple and works flawlessly.Streaming music from bluetooth portable device works well (in my case I'm using an iphone 4)Cons:Interface is horrible. Various screen views are cheesy and unattractive (get what you pay for)Cord for USB hook up is extremely short and was left behind the deck and was essentially unaccessable.First unit was dead on arrivalUltimately the price is good for the features offered, but if you can afford a nicer unit, go for it. 10/14/2010
Very Impressed If your looking for a full featured In-Dash DVD unit, that isn't going to cost you upwards of $500, than look no further. I've always been a high-end head unit type of guy, but I saw the reviews on this and I figured I'd give it a try.DVD works fine. The SD card input, and the USB input are for MP3's or music only. I can't get videos to play from these two sources. This is one feature I wish this unit supported. This does come with a USB extension cable, for those who claim it is too short (check the box)The AUX A/V input works great with my ipod video (so I don't need to worry about DVD's for my son). There are 2 rear A/V outputs so you can run two screens in the back seat if you desire. I'm currently running to one screen in the backseat, and the signal is nice and clean. The Pre-Outs are 2V, and there is a separate Subwoofer output (although it is not stereo) it is a single (mono) output. The Screen looks nice, and movies look great. Touch sensitivity is decent. The GUI could be better, but works fine. It has 4 tilt settings, to adjust for better viewing.Bluetooth works great. You can stream audio from your phone directly to the unit. I tried Pandora from my Samsung Vibrant, and it worked very nicely. Handsfree calling works very well, although I've been told my voice sounds muffled or bass heavy, but the incoming audio sounds fine. May just be something with where I had my phone at the time.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. 01/01/2011
