Wreck This Journal 15 19
A cool idea I bought this for my 15-year old niece and had no idea it would be such a hit. She flipped through it and laughed out loud, found it to be a hoot, and actually talked about how she'd do some of the suggestions in the journal. I thought she'd throw it in a corner, but it really peaked her interest. I totally recommend it. 01/11/2010
Stop thinking. Buy this book. NOW :-D I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this book! I am the exact target audience, too, someone who needs to embrace their inner rebellious creative evil genius.The book includes pages with directions such as:(picture of a bullseye) "Throw something. A pencil, a ball dipped in paint.""Document your dinner. Rub, smear, splatter your food. Use this page as a napkin.""Climb up high and drop the journal."(whole page drawn like the back of an envelope) "Pretend you are doodling on the back of an envelope while on the phone.""Bring this book in the shower with you" and"Crack the spine." This last one was the one that horrified me the most. I'm planning on doing that one last. That's one of the beauties of this book. It doesn't matter what order you do them in.There's even a page to leave for a friend to do something to. My best friend and I each got this at the same time and are going to do everything then trade and do each other's "Have a friend do something creatively destructive to this page". :-DThe instructions are to be taken liberally, and are up to your interpretation. For instance, there's a page that says "Fill this page with circles." You'll see a picture of what I did. My best friend used shearing scissors to cut out all sizes of circles from tons of magazines and glue them in. It's all up to how you want to do it.I've only had this book for a couple weeks and I am absolutely in LOVE with it! It's really been cathartic, and truth be told it feels GREAT to be creatively destructive! I bought a copy for another friend for her birthday, and for my mom just because. I'm seriously contemplating buying a case of these if I can, because I love sharing the awesomeness contained within these pages! :-D 04/08/2011
A Happy Journaler I just recieved my "Wreck this Journal" book today, and boy am I happy! The book is filled with fun things to do and simple instructions that are "Open to interpretation." :) While everyone who buys this book will recieve the same instructions, no two journals will look completely alike. Each journal will be unique to it's owner! I love my journal very much and I know I will be kept busy for quite a while. It is a good stress reliever too! The only issue I have with this book is that It won't stay clean for long as you are asked to do things such as spit on it, wipe your feet on it, glue it, and etc...but i guess showering with it makes up for that! ;P 12/19/2010
EPIC. Me and my friend were walking in the store wondering what to do with ourselves. As we came up to the books, my friend's eye caught this book. She began looking at it as i picked up another book. After a few seconds, she pulled me over to look at it. We beagn to flip thru each page like crazy monkies. We ran to the checkout to buy it.
