22.5mm on the 4 &amp; 5 Shelf Unit; 19.2mm on the 3 Shelf.

I&#39;m eyeballing it but they look to be a little over an inch thick the shelves that use wheels I believe are thicker then these are.

No. The side poles will be 72 inches no matter what. If you just don&#39;t put the shelves up that high, it will be floppy at the top and look very funny.

Reason:  Alera-ALESW59SLBL-Wire-Shelving-Shelf-Lock-Clips &gt;&gt; they are for 1&quot; pole dia.  But this item is 7/8&quot; pole dia.  It will not work. Don&#39;t think that is possible. If you have receipt take it back to store. I bought this unit and so far so good, but I don&#39;t expect it to last because of those stupid too thin plastic clips. And I&#39;m supposed to believe shelf can hold 250Lbs? I had no more than 18 lbs on shelf and shelf slid down and over those wonderful clips.

call the company, I&#39;m sure they will send you replacements.  When they shipped mine there were 3 or 4 extra ones.

The plastics discs were only used to ensure safe shipping and are not used in the assembly of the unit.

In the trash...or make a necklace out of them Those are noise abatement units. The USPS does not like things to rattle in shipments--its too scary...

They don&#39;t go anywhere. They are packing material only to protect unit in shipping

According to the instruction sheet, they are only use to protect the shelves from damage in transit (a really great idea!!) and may be discarded when the rack is assembled.

Looks nice for my utility room. Shelving is decorative, sturdy for pots and pans that I don't use vry often but want them handy. Shelf holds my toaster oven that I use daily. Plenty of room between the shelves for it.  I like the height to put seldomed used items

I have this in my room for all of my kitchen supplies, as my roommates didn't leave any cupboard or pantry space for me. It is working out well! It comes in the box with this icky orange residue on it from manufacturing, which was annoying, but it was pretty easy to put together. The little plastic pieces may slide down a little bit lowering your shelf a little, but if you are careful to slide all four corners all at once it's no problem. It's not too heavy, but it also didn't come with a piece to attach it to the wall like most do to help prevent tipping. It has little pieces on the bottom you can twist up or down for an uneven floor.

Used the Shelving rack in my sewing room to hold my containers of fabric. this way I
would not have to rearrange the containers each time I needed fabric. they worked out well because I could adjust the shelves to the height I needed. Well worth the money.
