It says it can hold up to 600 pounds. I'm 275 so figured great. Well that might be just the frame, which I admit is sturdy. The problem is the wood slats. If you could float over the bed and lower yourself down so your weight is evenly distributed, it would be ok. But to get in or out of bed most of us have to get in a sitting position. That means all your weight is on only a couple of slats. Sure enough, first time I sat up I heard crack, and found a slat had broken in two. They do seem a bit light weight. To add insult to injury, the phone number on the instruction sheet has been disconnected. Sorry, I really can not recommend this. At least not to someone over 200 pounds.

Okay, So I LOVED this frame at first.! My fiance put it together for me while I was at work, When I came home I was SO happy! It looked beautiful with my mattress and bedding! I completely fell in love with it... It was good a sturdy..... for the first four months -_- It only lasted four months.!! After that, the metal legs started bending, me and my fiance woke up one morning with the bed completely tilted to one side! We tried to fix it by hammering the metal back into place. That only lasted a week. It say's it holds 600lbs but I'm 135lbs 5'6 and my fiance is 160lbs 6'1 It was a great frame at first, but I would NOT recommend this to a friend or buy it again. It's amazing at first but after awhile it is a big bother, If I had to chose between frames again I'd save my money. I'm just buying a new frame tomorrow, wish me luck!!

I bought this to use with the Spa Sensations 8 inch Memory Foam mattress since it does not need a box spring. This was fairly easy to put together and I do not feel the slats at all when sleeping. I was concerned that the mattress would go between the slats and it does not do that at all. Overall it is a good frame that does not need a box spring.

I was a little skeptical of this frame, but I was shocked at the quality once I assembled it. Like most bed frames this one isn't attractive, but with the addition of a bed skirt you can't even see it. The slat system adds great support to your mattress. This bed wasn't difficult to assemble (I did it by myself and I'm 7 months pregnant), but I would recommend using a socket wrench or it will take you hours to tighten all the bolts.

Great Product But With A Manufacturing Blooper

Very good product, solid and vibration-free. The assemby of this product would have been a snap had it not been for a stupid manufacturing error concerning the four holes in the side rails for the two center support leg brackets. These four holes are recessed on the wrong side! I lost an hour assembling the frame the wrong way because I trusted those four recessed holes that receive the two center support leg brackets.

    • A. Hi Andi, Never been on one of those. I bought the memory foam mattress that was 8 1/2 thick to go over the frame. I can honestly say that you throw yourself onto these beds & it's cushioned, soft & noise-free. The slats fit snugly into place (quite astounding really) & they give the impression of a spine with ribs... Anyway, my husband decided to help me build the other bed & broke one of the slats... I called the number on the sheet & they sent us a replacement slat in no time, at no cost & I put that one in myself & we're very happy with these beds still... (It's been 2 years now.)

    • A. No, no noise at all! this bedframe finally allows my nice mattress to feel very nice! I wish I had purchased this one first instead of picking up a cheaper $29 frame that was really hurting my mattress.. I highly recommend this frame, but you do not need to use a box springs with this frame..

We are combined weight of less than 300lbs. Also do the legs have rubber on the bottoms to protect from floor damage?

    • A. We've had over 400 pounds sitting on our queen size frame at one time with no problem at all. And no the bottoms dont have rubber on them. But we bought the little leg protectors because we have hardwood floors and they work great.

    • A. I would recommend the queen size. My daughter and I are more than a combined weight of 300lbs and it holds up perfectly also it does have rubber to protect your floor. It also comes with extra parts to make it from a queen to a king if you should ever decided to go that route.

I notice that there is nothing that looks like it "contains" the mattress on the top of the frame. Does the mattress shift around a lot?

    • A. My 10 yr old daughter, who moves ALOT when she sleeps, doesn't seem to have any problems with it. Really, when you put a mattress on a boxspring, there is nothing to hold it in place either.
