Upon receiving the bed It was a doozy getting it in the car. I didn't realize it was going to be long (Silly me.) But after 30mins of pushing and shoving we ( two walmart employees and I) decided the take it out the box. It fit! ( I drive a 2003 ford Taurus) It was wrapped in thick plastic and I began to have doubts. When I got home and released it from it's binding, it folded out naturally and the best part, it doesn't even have a crease from being rolled up! It's nice and comfy. Thick! I had serious doubts after seeing reviews, However they're false! This bed is amazing. Soft and Firm.

This mattress is not as firm as I had hoped, but it is very comfortable. The label says you have to flip it at least once a month as with any mattress. I believe it comes with some sort of warranty. For the most part it is good for the value. My daughter says it is very comfortable.

This is not a bad mattress for the price, it does what it is supposed to do. I bought it mainly as a platform for my memory foam topper, but I did try it out w/o a topper, and its fairly comfortable, if you are looking for a firm matt.

I bought this mattress to use on my granddaughter's bed. It is not "firm". I don't know how anyone could possibly call it that. When she laid on it, it was good for her at 55lbs. I sat on it and sunk all the way to the support slats of the bed. So for a low cost mattress, it's OK for a kid's bed as long as they don't weigh too much. It also is smaller by a couple of inches than the bed frame. I may end up having to buy a memory foam topper to make it really comfortable. So, bottom line, it's an OK mattress for those who can't afford better and who don't weigh a lot.

I am not that pleased with this mattress. I expected it to be what it said it is, A firm 9" mattress with back support. It's NOT firm, It's NOT 9" and there is definitely NO BACK SUPPORT!. I would've sent it back but I needed a mattress so it is what it is. Oh yea it's only 6"in height so if you buy it,don't expect it to fill out much.

Where is this product manufactured? I realize it says the company is in the US but are the mattresses made here? Also does this need a box spring? I have a spindle bed with just wooden slats so is that enough support? Is this shipped rolled up?

    • A. I PLACED THE MATTRESS ON A PLATFORM BED WITH A SOLID WOOD BOTTOM. IT IS SUPPORTED VERY WELL. IF THE SLATS ARE CLOSE TOGETHER IT WILL BE ENOUGH SUPPORT. THE BED CAME ROLLED UP. I HAD NEVER SEEN A MATTRESS ROLLED UP THAT WAS 9 INCHES THICK. BUT BY 48 HOURS IT WAS COMPLETELY SHAPED TO A NORMAL MATTRESS. NEVER KNOW IT WAS ROLLED UP.

    • A. My daughter has this mattress without a box spring and it seems to be enough support. And yes, it ships rolled up in a cardboard box.

    • A. It is shipped rolled up. I would not recommend it for anyone who weighs over 125 lbs because it is definitely not firm. We are using on just slats for my 55 lb granddaughter and it is fine for now. Any heavier and I would say you need box springs. I THINK it's manufactured here but wouldn't swear to it.

    • A. From what I can tell from the other reviews and my own experience, I would say you would need some kind of base underneath it. I use a box spring base

    • A. Hi, Pink Chiffon... sorry this is so late, but I just posted(3/6/13) a review that might be helpful to you, but here's short answers: I think the mattress is produced in the Mid-west, maybe IL or IN? You can do a search for Wolf Mattresses and find their website, which I can't remember at the moment. That being said, I'm not sure if all the components are US mfg, but that might be on the website as well. If not, their contact info is, and I'm sure you could write or call them. Box spring may or may not be needed. Mine is on a wood futon frame, with the slats being a few inches wide and just a few inches apart. I don't think I'd put it on less support than that. It does come in a long box, ~64" depending on mattress size, that's about 20" or so square; they rolled it from the short side along the long side. It's not heavy, but awkward and needs 2 people to maneuver the box. It's a lot easier to take the mattress out of the box and then maneuver that way. It's almost a shrink-wrap, so everything stays compressed until you cut off the wrapping. Also, I had very good luck having it sent to the closest Wal-Mart store; I think if you had to return it, this would be the best choice, as long as you had a person and a vehicle to help pick it up there. I hope this helps.. :-)

    • A. I can't tell you where it's made but you can use it on wooden slats. My son's bed has wooden slats and they support his mattress just fine. My son is not a small fry.He weights about 240 and is 6'3". So go for it. He loves it! Oh, yes it is shipped rolled up.

    • A. This product is made in Fort Wayne Indiana. Wolf Corp is the oldest continually operating family mattress manufacturer in USA established in 1873. The mattress does not need a Boxspring but slats should be no more than 1" apart for proper support. Mattress ships compressed.
