I made buttercream frosting and wanted to decorate just with a swirl on top of 24 cupcakes. I put in brand new batteries and the unit only lasted for about 18 cupcakes. I then had to put more fresh batteries in. Also, after frosting about 15 cupcakes my arm started burning because of the weight of the unit. I am going to return it! 09/18/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Sis1967 Works perfectly! This was a gift, and I already had a manual cookie press from a top name company. However, this cookie press immediately was my favorite of the two. It works perfectly as a "cookie press" as intended. It is not a "decorator". That is a different item to decorate with buttercream. 12/11/2012

Rated 1 out of 5★ by DiscoPanda123 Don't waste your Money Was so excited when my hubby bought this for me but what was excitement quickly turned into frustration. It didn't work like it should have I tried multiple cookie press receipts but none of them worked in the press, it would start off ok but after 3 to 4 cookies it would start pressing out miss formed cookies then it would stop working and would no longer push out the dough, the battery power was not powerful enough to make it work right. after changing the batteries a few times and having it fail over and over I gave up and packed it away then after a few months I just threw it out. I would not recommend it to anyone this press isn't worth the headache. 12/05/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Arichelic Perfect for gifts! My mother gave this as a gift to 3 people this year and they all really loved it! It's a great idea and I would even consider getting one.The only thing to note: it doesn't look like it would work with recipes that contain chunks or chips of solid stuff, like chocolate chip cookies. The chips would get stuck behind the template. It comes with a bunch of recipes for spritz cookies, and though I personally don't remember eating a spritz cookie, I'm sure I have because a friend mentioned their common and taste kind of like sugar cookies. In any case, I think this would be great for peanut butter blossoms, to make them just that more interesting and pretty. =) 01/13/2014
