Mine stands just fine on a thin entry rug which covers wood flooring at the front door. I seems stable, no issues thus far.

mine is fully assembled on some thin entry way carpet and I have no issues with stability. My wife & I share this rack and we get 2 pair per shelf. I am a men's size 11 (20 pair)

The rack is very wobbly and fell over the second day I had it and I had mostly flip flops on it. I wouldn't recommend this!

This thing fell apart after 1 week of use. Awful product. I should have listened to my gut feeling that a tower made out of flimsy plastic couldn't hold 30 shoes. Instead, I read the mostly positive reviews and went for it. Big mistake.

I had problems getting the tower to stay together. I returned the one I purchased. As far as the size of shoes, I don't think you would have any problems getting them to stay on the rack....if you could keep it together :)

As long as you do not put all the shoes you own that are heavier (like boots, clunky heels and sneakers) on the top shelves with the lighter shoes on the bottom (sandals or flats) it should be fine. I also wear a women's size 5 or 6 and they fit perfectly on the shelf. I was even able to get more than 3 pairs of shoes on one shelf in some cases because of my small foot size.

This shoe rack is only stable if you put flat, light weight shoes on it. The plastic material is very weak and cannot withstand heavy, bulky shoes. I am a female that wears 3 inch heels, this shoe rack completely collapsed under the weight of my heels. A man can forget it! If it can't hold up under the weight of a woman's shoes, it definitely won't withstand the weight of a man's shoes. I do not recommend this rack at all. Highly recommend you buy a metal rack.

Shoe soles need to be at least 6 1/2 inches long. Anything shorter would fall through the opening between the two bars.

You can probably configure something on your own to mount it to a wall but it's meant to stand on the floor.

I doubt that even if you can mount it to the wall that it will stay there. The rods that make up the shelves are round so I am not sure how you would secure that to a wall. Also, the sides of this rack are made of plastic that is not that durable so it would most likely fall apart due to weight if you wanted it mounted onto a wall, off of a flat surface.
