Rated 4 out of 5 by DTDTDT Helpful storage, looks OK Elsewhere, I found nicer looking units made of the same materials, but for almost twice the price. This unit provided inexpensive and helpful storage in a small bathroom where there was not much more possible storage space. I like having both the open shelves and a shelf with doors. The unit looks nice, but not expensive. The many white screw caps on each side make for a less clean look. I would prefer screw heads that are recessed, with covers to make the sides flat. Other holes are covered over by a white sticker; there were extra stickers than the number listed in the the parts list, and I used all the stickers. The "wood" is mainly a type of fiberboard, which is not unexpected, but the type of wood is not noted on the packaging. The "paneled-look" back board appears to be like a strong cardboard. This cheaper material is somewhat noticeable in that two seams were darker where the cardboard had been folded for packaging. Also, the back board paneling does not really match that of the front doors, but only if one looks closely. To get the back board to lie flat, I used additional nails (many extras were provided) beyond those used for the existing pre-drilled holes. The dimensions I measured for the toilet space were 30-1/2"(height), 21-3/8" (width). The shelves are 7" depth, or 6-3/8" depth for the shelf with the doors; these depths are fine for hand towels and washcloths, but not big towels. The shelve heights are not adjustable. Assembly instructions are clear. An electric screwdriver helps in assembly, but most of the screws are hex screws (I used a 5/32 hex bit). A hex wrench was included. Fortunately, the unit was engineered so that the doors can be adjusted for alignment. Overall, this unit served its purpose in providing storage, and was a reasonable price. 01/14/2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by cyhe Functional and Attractive I love the look of this spacesaver with its two display shelves and cabinet for storing more mundane items. This product comes with a bead board back panel which unfortunately is white cardboard scored with vertical lines to give the appearance of bead board. The scoring is uneven with some lines more deeply cut than others. Not sure how the cardboard will hold up in a bathroom. The other negative is that the doors (recessed panel with vertical lines to continue the bead board theme) are white plastic, although surprisingly they don't look bad in the finished product. The rest of the spacesaver is made from particle board and compressed wood. Since this is a white painted item and you aren't going to see the wood grain anyway, it wasn't critical to me that real wood wasn't used. The compressed wood is heavy enough to steady what is essentially a tall, thin cabinet. Having assembled several of these "furniture out of a box" products over the years, I appreciated that the assembly instructions were well written and every predrilled hole that was supposed to be there was actually present and lined up correctly with its counterpart. I replaced the white plastic knobs that came in the box with satin nickel knobs from Lowe's to match my existing bath hardware and the finished spacesaver really looked cute:)! It was very sturdy, didn't feel at all flimsy or wobbly, so I didn't bolt it into the wall, although a strap for that purpose is provided. I would gladly have paid more for better materials in the back panel and cabinet doors, but for the price, this is really a good value. If it looks good for five years or more, I will be well satisfied. 01/09/2010

I was budget shopping and in desperate need of this type of cabinet for my small bathroom. I hesitated at first due to the price as comparitively it was much less than the others. Wow! I'm glad I decided to take the chance. First of all the no S&H for site to store. Thank You! Next I was amazed how easy it was to put together ( Thanks to my brother who put it together in about 25 mins! ) It is quite sturdy and we didn't even need to attach it to the wall. ( which they include a strap if you decide to do this ) It looks great! I am very happy and pleased with this little treasure I found.
