    Good Trunk for the price

    Customer review by UCFDAD

    4.0 stars by UCFDAD

Although not designed for any serious travel, this trunk works fine for my daughters dorm room. I like the fact that it locks (with 2 keys), is re-inforced at the edges with metal and has wheels to roll when full. Saved my back from carrying. The wood is a little thin so be careful, it will not take any real pounding. It also has little metal "feet" at the corners to keep it off the ground. 2 trunks stack "ok" but not great since the feet don't allow it to sit flat like a box. The wheels are ok but not heavy duty. You can also add a padlock through the ring on the front for extra security. The rubber strap is good quality. Overall, it is a good++ (not great) trunk for a great price. Go easy on it and it will last for awhile. Order 2 and use ship to store to save shipping$$.

    Great storage trunk

I bought this trunk for my 7 year old who's trying to keep his younger brothers from getting into his stuff. Well constructed and very light. Love the wheels which make it a lot easier to move around. It seems a bit pricey, but there doesn't seem to be anything else available out there that's like this. I have one of these trunks myself and it's served me well over 15 years. I'm hoping that the new design (mine doesn't have wheels and only one handle) lasts just as long. Good buy.

    Did the job required

    Customer review by ProudDaddyLackawanna

Trunk was perfect for the job at hand. Purchased it for my son , who was on his way to college. It is a little smaller than others I considered buying, but the price made the extra room on others seem insignificant. I bought a Blue one because it was one of the school colors and the color was true to the add... You have to be careful with the lock clasp. I was trying to situate it in my son's room at the foot of the bed. I didn't have the lock closed and barely hit the end of the bed and severely bent the clasp. Luckily, because the clasp was so frail, it bent back into place. If it is caught in th ewrong position it will break off easily, so just be careful. Overall, good value for the money I spent. Saw one that was practically identical at the Container Store "on sale" for $99.99....SMH

    • there is no pull out handle just a small handle to help you pull it, not sure about the airline regulations

    • I don't know about airline regulations but there is a strap-type handle on the side that you can grab and wheel the trunk.

    • Not sure on airline regulations but yes it does have a strap on the opposite end of the wheels. I wouldn't use it like a suitcase for flying though because the straps do break if what you are carrying is heavy. It was very awkward to roll once I got it fully loaded.

    • I would not want to take this on an airline... I think it is too big, but I don't think it is sturdy enough to survive the rough handling of the airlines, and could not handle excess weight stacked on it.

    • It does not have a pullout handle like a suitcase. It has a rubber strap handle that does not pull out very far, just enough to slip a large hand through. Not designed for any series travel since the wood is a little thin. Check the airline for "regulations", since not sure what you mean. Size will restrict from carry-on.

    • Size-wise, it doesn't look that much bigger than most luggage, so it should be fine to check. It is fairly light. It's too big to use as a carry-on, though. It doesn't have a handle that pulls out, but there is a handle on the end opposite the wheels, so it is feasible to pull the trunk by said handle as long as you're not too tall.

    • I wouldn't recommend it if what you have inside is heavy. The inside is press board and the outer edges are plastic. They tend to catch on each other and break if you have to slide them on top of another.

    • The wheels may make stacking difficult and because there are wheels and legs they will not stack flat. The corners of the top may be a problem also.

    • yes it is. however because it has wheels on it it and four pegs which it stands on there will be an inch or two of space if u stack it.

    • In my opinion, no because the trunk has two wheels at the back.

    • This trunk isnt great for stacking. The reason being that the metal on the back front and sides sticks out preventing it from sitting flat, it will not take up too much room but will take up some
