Dr. Davis is very detailed, even at times more so then I can comprehend, but I like that he's done so much research and knows what he's talking about. At first I thought there was no way I could follow the diet, but in reality it's not a diet, it's a true lifestyle change. Its a very healthy, natural approach to food, so it makes sense. Rated 1 out of 5★ by BORING!! This book was a pain to read. It took 200 pages of jibber to finally get down to his plan in a nutshell. Overall, it's just a variation of Atkins. I was extremely disappointed. I think this Doctor was focusing his research on his Celiac Patients which I could not identify with throughout the book. He also talked about cardiac & diabetic patients... but again, I was expecting more standardized research and outcome. Don't get me wrong... My heart goes out to people with Celiac disease as well as other ailments, it's just not what I was expecting from this book. 08/14/2012

Third day on this program and I can definitely tell a difference in my appetite and sleep habits. I was constantly munching on something during the day and it was mostly full of carbs. Eliminating most of the carbs from my diet has not been a problem - appears to be a great program - only time will tell. So far, I like it a lot!!! 07/22/2013
