No, it&#39;s not real wood. This end table is made out of particleboard.

Color is a very dark grey/blue. Lighting brings out a different color. Its pretty tho.

The table is a slate blue.  Very nice color.  Pretty much the color in the picture.

We bought two of these and they look great in my gray living room to add a pop of subtle color. They are narrow and work well for a tight space. The first one took me 2 hrs to put together and the second 1.25 hrs. It was definitely easier the second time. Lay out all your parts and keep them in the layers that they are packaged in. It is pretty much packaged by the steps! I used a drill and that helped A LOT. The drawer does not slide all the way in easily on either table, but it works if you are not using it frequently. These are definitely not super high quality, but for the price they are great and sturdy. I did not have problems with scratching as some other reviewers did, maybe because I installed them on a carpet and have not scratched them with anything sharp. I would definitely buy them again!

Awesome end table

As others have mentioned, this table is definitely greenish-blue.  I think it's more green, hubs and son say it's more blue -- for what that's worth.  Ordered two and though both arrived in very good condition, each had assembly issues.  We were able to fix the first unit by repositioning one of the drawer tracks.  The other had pre-drilled holes that were too far off and a replacement was necessary.  Assembly took a little while but it was easy enough (drawer is snug on both).  There's an extra of nearly all the hardware bits in case of a defect or you lose one.  The glue is just enough to get the job done and a touch-up pen that matches very well is included.  Once assembled, it's exactly what I wanted –  a solid, narrow end table.  Perfect for my space and the look I was trying to achieve.  Someone commented that this piece is small, but the dimensions are in the description and it's exactly as advertised.  Overall, I'm happy with this end table.
