West Bend 2lb Bread Maker 4.3 5 39 43
Seems good We've baked 8 to 9 loaves of bread over the last 2 weeks since buying the bread machine. It didn't bake French Bread very well; but think that was because of some older yeast we had. The egg bread came out very good, just like our old machine. Haven't had it long enough to really tell how durable it is. I did buy the extended warranty; so will wait and see. Happy so far. 05/05/2011
This is my first bread maker. Before buying, I researched for 3 weeks, I was so unsure! I had never made bread before, but all I could remember is the bread my momma made when I was a little girl, and I wanted that again. I am so please with this bread maker!! It's easy to use, doesn't make a lot of noise, won't walk across the counter, and the bread tastes just like my mommas! I have never been happier!! 04/13/2011
Excelent value I can't rate its durability yet, but I really am pleased with this bread maker. I couldn't decide on which one to buy,but now I know I made the right decision. Easy to operate, great instructions, and my first attempt turned out perefectly! Tastes an looks just like the bread I have been paying over $3.00 a loaf at the bakery. Don't hesitate this machine is fantastic. 04/02/2011
Great gift for college students, or great at home! Sent this to a brilliant and amazingly talented friend of mine at a university in a suite of eight young women. She was thrilled, and her roommates are very happy too, as she is the culinary expert in the group. Easy to use, great results, and the timer feature makes it perfect to cook bread overnight so there is fresh baked bread ready just before the first class. Also allows the adventurous baker to easily try their own recipes (just add different ingredients and press start....). Here is a sample recipe she has created:http://snackology.blogspot.com/2011/09/best-banana-bread-secret-ingredient.htmlMy personal favorites are rye bread (substitute "some" rye flour for the white flour), potato bread (add some dried mash potato flakes- it makes awesome toast), cinnamon raisin bread (add raisins part way through cycle or they "disappear"...), several types of tasty pizza dough, and French bread. I have successfully used these recipes in several different bread machines over the years. I'll see if I can get some of them posted on her "snackology" recipe site (if the link above passes Walmart's Terms&Conditions....otherwise search for "snackology").This product has an awesome performance to price ratio. I recommend it highly as a gift for the busy person who appreciates "real" bread, or for yourself. 09/30/2011
