Weed Eater 16" Reel Lawn Mower 3.9 5 22 22
A great little mower This reel mower is great!!! It's easy to use, cuts like a champ (no stragglers) and is everything I expect in a Weedeater product - a great value. My only problem is that it has trouble with pine cones, sticks, etc. so I have to prepare the yard a bit prior to cutting. 02/10/2010
Perfect for what I bought it for I got this mower to do my front and back yards, which are medium sized. I live in the pacific northwest and we had a rainy start to spring so when I finally got my first use out of this product the grass was a little damp and about 4 to 5 inches long. Now I may be wrong, but both of the bad reviews posted at the time of this writing were done by people that for whatever reason may be expecting this mower to perform like a gas powered rotary mower. It does not...I admit I had to go over the whole lawn a few times but that should not be the case next weekend. I believe this is a perfect mower for a small-medium sized yard that you will be touching up weekly or bi-weekly.To close, I am completely happy with the quality and use of this mower. I requires a little work and persistence, so if those don't describe you, save yourself the time and just buy a riding mower with a cup holder.TLR 04/08/2011
Great Product I feel like I needed to give 5 stars on this little thing so people don't pass it up. After reading the reviews online, I wasn't going to buy this mower, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyways. I was very impressed with the performance.I bought a house last fall and the lawn was already well established, all I needed to do was keep it going. After a rather wet and cold spring, the grass was getting a little out of hand. I couldn't afford a gas mower, and I tend to lean on the green side anyways, so I wanted a reel mower to make as little impact as possible. Not having to fumble with mixing oil and gas and then spilling it all over myself is extremely convenient, to say the least. This little mower tackled some tall grass with relative ease. It did take a few passes, but when all was said and done, it only took about 30 minutes to cut my little 1/4 acre. It doesn't shred through pine cones or any branches, but it's a small price to pay. Even with a gas mower, I would have cleaned that stuff up anyways so I didn't have shredded pine cones and wood scattered all over my yard. After tackling the edges with my electric edger, my lawn is looking great at half the price, no headache from fumes, and no bloody shins from stuff rocketing out from under the mower. 06/02/2010
Convenient mower I'm supposed to get a gas mower but I decided to check on this. It works well! My husband likes it and we are happy with it. Its really convenient to use in our small lawn and doesnt cost us a thing to run. I've read about a review of it being broken the first few rolls, it happend but it's not really broken. You just have to loosen a screw and a tool to do it was included. We just did it once and everything was perfect. 05/24/2011
