This product is awesome. It's more than I expected. Easy to put on the bike and take off. I thought my legs would be bowed out while pedaling , but even on a small Mtn. Bike, I was able to pedal normally. I love the center of gravity cause by having your child in the middle of the bike and up front. Felt like i was on a street bike while cruising down hills and around turns. Excellent C/G with this design. Being able to talk with my daughter and hear her comment on what she's seeing and how much fun she's having was priceless. We can't wait to get out and ride together as a family again. I would recommend this product to everyone who has a young child or expecting. I'll use this again for our next child once our daughter outgrows it. The seat can handle up to 40lbs. We love it!!!

I will start off by saying I was really scared it wasn't going to fit on my bike since i did read reviews where some people had trouble with that. You see mine and my husbands bikes both have very little room(neck space)between where the cross bar meets the handle bars and where the handle bars actually start to turn. Some people said u need 1/2inch or so, but we didnt even have that. When we got the seat we were pleased to see that the bar u attatch is not the solid 1/2 inch that it looks like in pictures..it is hallow on the underside(still extremely sturdy though)and has a a cut out notch in the front to go around the neck of the bike. Therefore I had no issues what so ever attatching it to my 24" womens bike or my husbands bike. AWESOME seat!!! I'm 5'3 and I can ride very comfortably with my son:)I HIGHLY reccommend this seat. It looks really small when you get it out of the box..but works just fine!! Oh and I noticed some people were complaining about the harness..I see no issues with it..it adjusts easily...Also there is a cross strap on the harness that is meant to go on your kids shoulderblades to keep harness straps seperated..not in front how some people on here keep saying they are doing

We got this for our 3' tall, 23 month old and were a little worried by other reviews that said it would be too small for her ... It was perfect ... she fits into it well and absolutely loves it! Walmart had the cheapest price especially with site-to-store shipping ... couldn't recommend it enough! We've been having so much fun with it ... our little girl threw a major hissy fit the first time we tried to get her off as she didn't want the ride to end!!!

I love the idea of having my child in front of me but do you hit your knees on the seat while pedaling???
    by iswedican2 7/27/2010
    • I am 6'2" and put the carrier on my mountain bike. I have to bow my knees more than I'd like to ride with it in place. Going up hills is impossible as I can't put enough strength into the pedaling. I've moved it as far forward as possible to maximize the room, but it's just not working well for me.

    • I'm 6' and it's not a problem. I've never hit it and just barely graze the sides at times. Got a bad knee so hitting it would probably make me get rid of it. It's AWESOME having my son in front. If you've ever ridden on the back of a motorcycle, you can't see anything. He's got a front seat view. We get out almost every day with it. You can always return it, but I wouldn't dream of it. Good luck!

    • I am 5' 4" and have this mounted on my 26 in. beach cruiser. You have to ride w/ your knees slightly out, but you do not directly hit the seat.

    • I am not tall, 5'2, but my knees do not hit him. The seat is adjustable forward and backward on the bar also.

    • You will have to ride with your legs out a little bit to prevent your knees from touching the seat. I'm 5'9" (long legged) so i worried about that. It's actually not bad at all.

    • I am 5 ft. 3 my knees do not hit child carrier nor do I have any trouble pedaling the bike. I have a Cranbrook Huffy..similar to a beach cruiser
      by UltragirlClassic4/23/2013
Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)
    • Not really, you do tend to pedal with your knees slightly turned outward but it is not bad at all. The first time or two you will definitely feel it in your inner thigh but your legs get used to it. It's not bad and totally worth having them in front of you!

I have a new Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser. I'm about 5'7". Kind of worried about being able to pedal with some of the reviews. Thanks!
    by spy1203 9/12/2010
    • It gets slightly tight on the leg room, but is manageable.

    • I'm 5'4" and have this on my 26" beach cruiser. You have to ride w/ your knees slightly bent out, but you won't directly hit the seat. You can also move the seat front or back.

    • in a word, no. i had a mountain bike though so if it does work with a beach cruiser let me know :) i had to adjust my seat all the way forward so that my knees were forced out less (im 5'5") it was still very awkward and standing to pedal for an incline was impossible. you cant do it. i had to get off and push. :( i loved the concept and i would buy it again if it works better with a beach cruiser but i dont see how it could unfortunately.

    • I am 6' 250# and my legs only brush the child carrier and it slides forward easily. If you have larger Kids/Grandkids then use the Bell rear mounted carrier that I put on my Wife's bike for our larger Grandsons.

    • I have the same bike and it does cut into leg room just a little bit. Riding is not uncomfortable, you just have to do it a little differently. My son loves it!

    • I'm 5'7" too, fits perfectly. Or let me put this way, didn't feel any difference for leg room. But my handle is little lower & i'm thinking of rising it so that I can reach comfortably.

    • The only difference I have seen is getting on and off the bike. It is a little cumbersome but I enjoy the fact that my little girl is sitting up with me and if she likes, she'll grab my arm

    • yes! I am 5'8" and this works just fine on my bike. it is an old school model as well. no trouble at all, the seat does have a few inches adjustment in the forward-backward slide.
