I bought this mower last summer thinking that it would be convenient, it's not. The mower is not wide enough, so you have to take twice as many passes to cover the area you want to mow. When you do go over an area, the blades aren't sharp enough to cut Dandelions. You will have to go over the yard multiple times and eventually you will just start plucking them out by hand. Everyone has mentioned the battery life, and my mower is starting to show signs of this after almost one full mowing season. The grass catching bag doesn't hold much before it clogs up, I think the mower just doesn't have enough momentum to throw the grass into the rear of the bag, so you will be emptying it out multiple times even for a small city sized yard. If you value your time, do not purchase this mower. This was the first Worx product I ever bought, and I wont be buying anymore product from them in the future if this is the type of performance I can expect from their products.

I've had this lawn mower 2 weeks. It replaced an old clunky gas mower. We have an acre of land so this is not for the entire yard, just the part that I (female) do; the front of the house, the dog's yard, and the side yard between house and driveway. The day I received it had been rainy all day but I wanted to use it and the rain finally stopped at 5pm. So I got out and mowed the dog's yard. It hadn't been mowed in 3 weeks and this is the deep south so grass was about 6" tall. I couldn't believe how great of job of cutting this wet yard that was full of weeds which are harder to cut. The mower is so easy to use and cuts so well that if I had a normal sized city lot, I would buy the bigger one to use but in my case this one does all I do on 1 battery charge (about 40 min.). Also I can take battery out and carry it up steps instead of walking 1/2 block around buildings to reach shed and I am a 70 year old woman. I think everyone should have one of these mowers.

I researched cordless electric mowers for quite some time and finally decided to take a chance on one of the least expensive options. When I picked it up and put the handle on (this was not as easy and it should have been because the instructions were obiously written by someone who doesn't understand how to communicate with a non-mechanical person like me), I was reminded of another review I had seen on this product - it looked like a Tonka Toy! However, after I charged the battery over night as was suggested, I was anxious to try it out. I loved the outcome! The '13 inch width is a bit of an issue but I don't have a large area to mow so I don't mind the necessary extra passes too much. The cutting performance was excellent although I was taken aback by one phrase in the instructions when it advised that you should avoid backing. I always mow going forward and backward and it did not seem to cause any issues. When I was done, the battery still indicated more than a half charge, so I hope that remains the case for the long haul. It's just so nice not to have to hassle with gas, oil, and unreliable gas mower engines. I don't envision ever owning another gas mower!

This is our first electric mower. We needed a small machine that could do tight areas around our perrenial gardens. A side from the pleasure of quiet and reduced weight, this little guy does a good job. It will take some getting use to because it is so small and light..almost like pushing a kids toy. Time will tell if this mower will holds up. I did have an issue with the small tabs that project from the inside diameter of mower's under cariage. I believe they improve lofting of the grass cuttings. With in minutes two of them were hit by the blade and bent. I removed them and haven't had any further problem. The mower does flex a little but not too much. Considering the cost, this is something that should not happen.

I bought this about a month ago and have only used it twice. I have mowed my own yard and another yard, which both yards are small (took less than 20 minutes each). My yard is on a slight hill, but this lightweight design made it easy to walk across this slant instead of walking up and down the hill. I have no branches or big plants to mow around, so everything was easy. The second house I mowed at has many issues. There are trees that drop big seeds to clog mowers (gas or electric), it is on a small hill, has many branches on the ground year round, and has many plants in the yard. When I mowed this yard, it was easy to walk around, but there were the same issues with the large tree seeds that fall. I had to stop and pick up all seeds before mowing. I did not want to mow over the numerous branches in the yard because I did not want to bend these blades. In the end, I would recommend this mower to anyone with a small yard with not many issues (mainly grass). This mower is very light weight and has the advantage of not having to store gas in the garage. If you only need to mow a simple yard, then this may be the mower for you. If your yard is big, then maybe you would want to look into the larger mower than this 14 inch model. Both homes I mowed are less than 1/4 acres total (including the house!).

    • A. Yes, it does have a quiet setting! This was an important feature to me and it is quieter that I thought it would be. But don't let it fool you, this is a very powerful mower.

    • A. It has a normal run setting and a more powerful setting. When hubby is mowing we can talk to each other and when I'm in the house with the windows closesd, I can't hear it. It's pretty quiet.

    • A. The battery comes out of the lawnmower and it is charged with a charger that comes with it. The battery is light so being able to charge it in the house is a plus. It also has a light that shows how much charge you have.

    • A. What about charger? It holds a charge on standby for about a month according to the manual. In use it depends on how hard it's working. It can last 10 minutes to an hour pending how hard you're working it (how thick and long is the grass).

    • A. The charger is about the size of an old time phone charger I had. I charged the batery overnight as the instructions sugested, then unplugged it the next morning. I plugged it back in for a very short while just before I dropped the battery in the mower and it quickly indicated a full charge. When I finished (and I do not have a very large mowing area), it still showed over a half charge. I plugged it back in after putting the mower away and unplugged it after the green light indicated a full charge.
