The Vtech CS6429 Cordless Answering System is an ideal phone for homes and offices. The DECT 6.0 technology delivers superior sound quality for interference-free calls. It has caller ID and a backlit keypad and display, which allow you to view and use the phone even in the dark. An optimum security and range can be achieved with this phone, as it protects you from identity theft and cross talk. It features digitizing and encryption to make it nearly impossible for eavesdropping to occur. Up to 50 numbers can be saved in the ID memory. You can include 30 names and numbers in the phonebook directory. This wall mountable phone is an excellent system that allows you to make calls with ease, and converse knowing your calls are private.

The great comments about this way-less expensive answering machine sold me; the great comments were right. Can't imagine any more features needed; easy to set up; easy to use! Finally, I don't struggle to hear like I do with cell phones!! 10/15/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Vitamouse77 Looks good, works well. I love the compact design. Perfect for a small apartment. Love the green display. (Dislike orange displays). Nice sized buttons. Great for when you don't have your glasses on. Would like a bit more volume on the earpiece part, but the speakerphone is always an option and easy to use. Sometimes have to hit the "talk button" 2 or 3 times when answering a call. Could be us, not sure yet. Its attractive and looks well made.The base has up & down volume buttons and the down button points up. Minor defect. Haven't had the time to exchange it yet. Preset bell volume is perfect and preset recording is good, not one of those annoying ones. Haven't programmed any settings yet since I'm going to exchange it. I will definitely exchange it for the same model and once I get it programmed am hoping to rerate it as "Excellent" 10/05/2011
