The Vornado Room Air Purifer draws air in through two high allergen-maximum dust air filters, trapping pollen, pet dander, bacteria, mold spores, dust mite debris and smoke particles. The Vornado Air Purifier uses Vortex Technology to fully circulate the air in the room. Air cleaners that do not fully circulate the air only clean the immediate area around the unit. The AQS 500 is effective and powerful with up to four air change per hour in an area of up to 324-square feet. Offers superior performance and near-silent operation, as quiet as a personal desktop computer on low speed. Equipped with LED indicators that display personal settings. This air purifier features three speeds, timer and a change filter indicator to aid in the timely replacement of filters. Two filters are included. ENERGY STAR certified.

strange cat behavior After 15 minutes of running on quick clean I noticed the cat was walking slowly and methodically with neck stretched out and nose up, she was sniffing, moving about slowly and with each step turning the nose another direction. This behavior continued till she felt she had made the point to me that I was changing her environment. Product works. 12/20/2011
Performs as expected I purchased 2 units. They were easy to set up, just plug in. The units operate very quietly on the low fan setting. I'm very pleased with the performance. The timer is not what I expected but overall a very good value. 12/19/2011
Vornado is the Best I've come to to rely on Vornado's quality and performance. I already have 4 of their heaters from the personal heater that I have at work to the whole room heaters that I have in various areas of my house. Those together with all of my Vornado fans have more than exceeded my expectations. The AQS Whole Room Purifier was no exception. From day one we noticed the air in the house was fresher and cleaner. I highly recommend this purifier, especially in the winter time and if you have pets. 12/18/2011
The quiet mode is great! The Quick clean is a plus Have not had the machine very long- but can say that I love the quiet mode and quick clean. I have the machine in my toddlers room and it was recently very helpful when he was sick with a virus. No way to tell if it was from the air purification but - my other kids did not get sick! Also- it is quick to remove the smell of a diaper change :) 12/17/2011
