Good, inexpensive remote This is a pretty good, inexpensive remote. I bought it to control my cable box after I misplaced the remote. Unfortunately, it works for all my devices excpet the Comcast box I have.The ergonomics are okay, but in the dark it's kind of hard to find the right buttons since they are not backlit and the grid at the top is all the same shapes. 02/08/2012
only worked correctly for 1 week worked for a week. week 2 had to reprogram the television code daily. week 3 had to reprogram the code at least once per hour. week 4 the battery (which was included with the remote at the time of purchase) died. threw product away and purchased a phillips universal. Though for the price it may be worth the gamble, surely not every single remote by vizio is as awful as mine was. 09/08/2011
DOA right out of the box I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for a Magnavox Blu-Ray player remote that I also happened to purchase at Walmart. Saw on the package that this should be compatible. Got this thing home, read the setup instructions, removed the battery tape and followed the directions. Depressing the device button did not light the LED. Holding down SET button did cause the LED to flash twice, but no other buttons would flash including the device code numbers. And the SET flash only worked once. Would not flash again unless I removed and replaced the battery. I also tried replacing the battery with a new one. Nope, not the problem. I've programmed many universal remotes over the years and have never seen one act like this. Very disappointing as I do own a Vizio TV with which I am very satisfied. Taking it back to the store tomorrow. 02/19/2012
