VIZIO Full HD 3D Rechargeable Glasses, 2-pack 4.3 5 18 22
Sale was a Great Deal! Watched on line and took advantage of the $49 sale on these glasses. Couldn't believe it when I saw it but glad I jumped on it because it wasn't long before it was gone. The glasses work great. They are one size fits all, so you have to make some accomodations if you are not a fits all size person. Other than that, they are a good product and give excellent 3D with the VIZIO TV's. They come with an external wall wart for charging and a USB charger cable in the configuration of a Y so that both pair can be charged at one time. The USB cable can either use the wall wart as the power source or you can plug it into any USB port on your TV or PC to supply the power to charge the glasses. They fully charge in 3 hours to give 24 hours worth of usage. The manual included covers about everything needed except a statement that you should not constantly leave the glasses plugged into the charger. Doing so would prematurily over burden the recharageable batteries in the glasses. The best method is a 3 hour charge then unplug and let them set until you are ready to use them. However, if you let them set more than 2 or 3 weeks you might need to give them a little trickel charge to bring up the batteries to full strength again from internal discharge.I would recommed anyone looking for these to watch for sales because the normal list price is too high. A Google search should show you what's available and usually Walmart watches this also to match any good deal pricing. 08/15/2011
Know your requirements! These Vizio glasses are to be used with a Vizio 3D television that utilizes the active 3D technology. The "theater" or passive glasses won't work with the TV I purchased. An infra-red connection is made between the TV and the glasses which causes the lenses to shutter open and closed. Don't block the IR sender at the base of the TV with a sound bar! You'll lose that connection. With these glasses and a 480 hz refresh rate on an LED TV the result is nothing short of fantastic. The depth is amazing. Unfortunately, they cost more because that are an electronic device in themselves. If you have an active 3D TV I believe you have the best in viewing capabilities. 01/06/2012
Worked right out of the box. Took them out of the box and plugged them into the charger. Waited a couple of hours, turned them on and they just worked. Didn't have to sync them up or adjust any settings or anything. I wear glasses and they fit over them fairly good. I've only watched a couple of movies with them for about two hours each, but I didn't get any headaches or eye strain like some people complain about with these type of glasses. Only gave them an overall score of 4 just because they're kinda expensive. 12/29/2011
Watch the PRICE! We purchased two sets of the Vizio Full HD "Active Shutter" 3d Glasses to complete our VXT3D554SV. I would like to point out that we purchased these glasses by the set for $24.99, not $178! We recieved 4 glasses for $50, with free site to store!! For a period of two weeks here on Walmart's website these glasses came and went for anywhere between $24.99 to $49.99, and now they are once again $178.00. I would love to know why there was such a great price drop on these and then such a great increase. Checked Vizio website, Dells, and Amazons, and they still had theirs anywhere from $124 - $178. I was so skeptical about the price I checked Sams Club online, and even they had them for $24.99 a set. And yes, I am talking about the ACTIVE SHUTTER and not the PASSIVE!!!!! At $178, I would not buy them, but at $24 or even $50 a set I would, and of course I did.Over all these work fine. I would like to note that 3d via Xbox 360 on some games such asCOD: Black Ops, and the available Sonic 3d demo are not great what so ever. Please do not blame the Vizio tv or the glasses, it is all in the game developement and in the Xbox 360.Also stay clear of Vizios cheapest 3d player available here online, it is not a very good player, it does not handle 3d content very well. 08/03/2011
