I returned this item, as the legs are too weak, not too stable for a $1,000 camera, but I would have kept it if I just needed to strap a cheap camera on it.

My advise: Don't buy it. It does not even level horizontally. And it won't hold anything.

OK for the price

It's compact but also flimsy. If you want a tall but small tripod this is OK but the legs are somewhat wobbly. The little handle on the screw attaching the footplate to the camera flops around and gets in the way when trying to attach the camera to the tripod. Not a great tripod for a full sized DSLR. Would be OK for a point and shoot. Would be easy to pack into a suit case if needed. The last leg extension isn't much larger in diameter than a pen or pencil.

Our office decided to tape our presentations and needed a tripod as close to eye level as possible. Could not beat this deal, it is very high for a very low price. This tripod probably would not last more than a few minutes out in the wild, but for sitting there holding a small digital video recorder indoors this value can't be beat.

Was looking for an inexpesive tripod to use with my laser level...this product fit the bill perfectly. Compact design extendes quite a bit, and is fairly sturdy. For the price, this cannot be beat!

  • A. YES most of the cameras in the world have a universal mounting point on the bottom it will look like a screw was drilled into the bottom and unscrewed. if you get the tripod there is a little screw standing up ontop of the deck of the tripod you will then screw it on

  • A. Yes, your camra should fit and the tripod is adjustable from 16 inches up to 50 inches.. Very lightweight construction, but what do you want for seven dollars?

  • A. It's height adjustable but at its greatest height, is only up to chin level. It's very flimsy at full height. If your camera is heavy, don't get it. It will hold a pocket sized camera with no problem but no larger. The only thing I like about it is that I can pack it into a suit case for travel. Otherwise, it's pretty cheap.

  • A. You don't have to purchase anything. There is a piece (base) on top of the tripod which has a bolt (screw) to attache to the camera. All you have to do is release a latch and this base then securely attach it to your camera then put it back and lock the hatch. Now you are ready to go. It takes few seconds to do that.

  • A. No, it whould hold about any camera without any problem, although the tripod is very lightweight...and I wouldn't trust it in any wind...

  • A. Most cameras have a standard screw hole on the bottom. The tripod comes with a plate that you screw into the bottom of your camera. This is a quick release plate that then fits into the top of the tripod. The plate comes with the tripod. If you don't have the screw hole in your camera, it won't work.
