i have a dsc w230 Sony cyber shot will this camera fit, and also is the height adjustable?

  • A. YES most of the cameras in the world have a universal mounting point on the bottom it will look like a screw was drilled into the bottom and unscrewed. if you get the tripod there is a little screw standing up ontop of the deck of the tripod you will then screw it on

  • A. Yes, your camra should fit and the tripod is adjustable from 16 inches up to 50 inches.. Very lightweight construction, but what do you want for seven dollars?

  • A. It's height adjustable but at its greatest height, is only up to chin level. It's very flimsy at full height. If your camera is heavy, don't get it. It will hold a pocket sized camera with no problem but no larger. The only thing I like about it is that I can pack it into a suit case for travel. Otherwise, it's pretty cheap.

**PROS** -light weight -cost -quickness of setting it up and professonal ways to move the deck with camera -level thing(yellow) **CONS** -deck is not level horizontally(read rest to see how to quick fix "no constructing") -joints break and will never go back -metal bends a little on very hot days/bends like a paperclip i'm a quick cameraman and a recorder. when i buy a product i'll buy the product which gives me the most bang for my buck. so i have chose this tripod to carry equipment due to the hight and how it is very cheap i didnt want to spend alot of money on something that will hold a little camera for a few minutes not smart. i can easily transport the tripod with the little bag that happens to be in the same box the tripod comes in. CONCLUSION: great for standing and moving a little bit but not for rough enviornments FROM ABOVE: rotate a leg to the left when your facing the rear of the mounted camera or the stick is to the right. next lower the leg that is to the furthest left to level out the deck or camera

It's compact but also flimsy. If you want a tall but small tripod this is OK but the legs are somewhat wobbly. The little handle on the screw attaching the footplate to the camera flops around and gets in the way when trying to attach the camera to the tripod. Not a great tripod for a full sized DSLR. Would be OK for a point and shoot. Would be easy to pack into a suit case if needed. The last leg extension isn't much larger in diameter than a pen or pencil.

I returned this item, as the legs are too weak, not too stable for a $1,000 camera, but I would have kept it if I just needed to strap a cheap camera on it.

My advise: Don't buy it. It does not even level horizontally. And it won't hold anything.

Our office decided to tape our presentations and needed a tripod as close to eye level as possible. Could not beat this deal, it is very high for a very low price. This tripod probably would not last more than a few minutes out in the wild, but for sitting there holding a small digital video recorder indoors this value can't be beat.

Tripod is light and extends to a good height. But it's flimsy and not very well put together. However, everything worked well enough (quick release, all the joints opened and locked, etc.). For the price though, it's worth it. A cheap tripod beats not having a tripod at all right?

It's a good tripod for SEVEN DOLLARS

This tripod is fine for attaching to your camera bag, so you always have a tripod. It is not heavy duty, by any means, but it does what is was designed to do. The last set of legs is about the sixe of a pencil, so it is very lightweight, but it has no problem holding my dslr, even with a fairly heavy lens. It will never be your primary tripod, but to have one that is so small and portable is a good thing. You an also use it as a monopod if need be. For the price it is great, but if it were nineteen dollars or so, I'd get something else. It would be a good one for holding extra flashes too.. I'm happy as it is about what I thought it would be for the money...

Customer has been confirmed to have purchased the item from Walmart.

I bought this tripod for my nikon coolpix camera which is heavier than most small digital camera. The tipod looked flimsy when I first extended it out, but once I locked the legs in place it was fine. The camera easily screwed onto the tipod. I liked that I was able to adjust it to different heights. The legs slide up and down as you adjust it taller or shorter. It comes with a bag to carry it. It's fairly small and convienent. I would buy it again and would recommend it to someone that is looking to buy a tripod that works and is inexpensive. It's not top quality, but it's also not high priced. It's a good value for what your getting.

...but did not discover it until getting home. The camera platform has an adjustable (tilt) section on the bottom of it. This tilt pivot was broken where it connects to the tripod. Item is being returned as I type this. Item was sold as new for 1/3 more than the online advertised price. Item was purchased at the White Lake, MI store.
