The Blue VistaQuest VQ-9100 Waterproof Digital Camera with 12 Megapixel resolution is suitable for your beach vacation and summer pool parties, as you can take photos up to 3 meters under the water. It offers a 12 megapixel resolution that provides you with high-quality still images and video recordings with VGA video, plus face and smile detection features. With a 2.4" TFT LCD screen, you can see images clearly as they are being recorded on the VistaQuest camera. The camera contains an F/2.8, 8.5mm zoom lens and offers an 8x digital zoom. It comes with a single microSD memory card slot (memory card not included). The VistaQuest digital camera supports both JPEG and MJPEG formats and is compatible with both PC and Mac platforms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HLiao Works Well for the Price Considering the price of this digital camera is about the same as two disposible underwater cameras with 27 shots each and the development costs for those films (assuming you can find a place that still develops films), this camera did well for a very reasonable price.Its functionalities are almost the same as disposible cameras: There is no auto focus. There are only two fixed distance settings, landscape and macro. 4x Zoom is quite grainy and useless. Except in the most ideal situation (calm pool water under bright sunlight), the view screen is too dark to see underwater, so you have to aim and shoot and hope for the best. Because the large screen is on whenever the camera is on, it eats batteries very fast, about 2 regular AA batteries for every 2 hours of activities, faster if you use the built-in flash (I very quickly switched to rechargable batteries and/or Energizer lithium batteries). The camera is small so it is not easy to hold (although it was not as bad as I thought), and this camera does not float, so be sure to add a necklace or secure it somehow if you use it in open water.However, the picture quality is surprisingly good once you upload the pictures to a computer and view them on a larger screen. The motion video capture is of the same quality and it even includes sound. I like cameras using regular batteries so when the power runs low I can quickly and easily buy replacement batteries (or bring a bunch with me) without looking for outlet for charger on the beach. The camera works well out of water as in water. A small 4GB memory card is more than enough to take a vacation worth of pictures and some videos, and you can replace it with spares as needed.I have used this camera only twice so far.
