Item Description
A heavy-duty camera tripod for your DSLR is essential for photography with good results. The Vanguard MK Series Heavy-Duty 64" Tripod comes equipped with a horizontal brace for added stability. This three-way fluid panhead tripod features a radial leg brace with lock and a carrying handle for convenience. This tripod can be folded easily after use. Featuring triangular aluminum legs with rubber-tip feet, this Vanguard tripod stays steady when you lean over to capture a shot. Other features include a removable quick shoe, a geared elevator, and a bubble level. This last feature is particularly useful when the tripod legs are not equally extended on uneven terrain.

worked... sort of It worked okay for some things at first. Until the head just fell off.It's cheap and light weight. It's too light weight if you're doing long photography out doors if there is a light breeze. It is easy to bring along on a hike, though. If you don't extend the legs it is stable enough.It's easy enough to use, as long as it's a landscape type shot. It does this flip up thing for switching to vertical, but is impossible to align and drifts once it's locked down, so your shot never stays composed how you want it.The quick release is a little loose, but works well.The entire head assembly began to wobble alarmingly after a couple months. After 6 months it fell to pieces. Irreperable pieces.I replaced this with something vastly more expensive, but which far more reliable, and will probably be handed down to my grandkids. This is not a product desinged to give you years of use. 01/08/2009
Vanguard MK Series Tripod Every thing is great. The only thing is that there is some slight movement in the head when you have everything locked down and you move it from left to right. It still a great product and I wouldn't let that deter you from buying this tripod. It is only slight but I shoot some HDRI and you can't change the camera shot in the slightess way or it will not render the picture correctly. 06/24/2009
love this tripod I have had mine for almost 9 years. One of the feet has broken off. Don't judge it to harshly though. I have used it heavily for weddings, outdoor photography even studio portrait photography in temperatures ranging from 100 to -15 degrees Fahrenheit. I plan on replacing mine with exactly the same model. For 30 bucks 9 years ago. I'd say that is some outstanding value. 09/04/2010
Great value! I got this tripod as an add-on to a Canon EOS bundle - for only $5! The quality is great. It's fairly sturdy and has a carrying handle. It looks sharp too. It's probably best just for personal use, not professional, but I would definitely recommend to an amateur! 12/19/2010
