Item Description

TPR Figure 8 - Thermoplastic rubber (TPR) combines the properties of plastics with the flexibility and durability of rubbers- Typically more light weight and formable than rubber, TPR has been growing in acceptance for many applications over the last decade- Center Foam Sleeve keeps bands together, Contoured Hard Shell Hand Grips, range of resistance 15'' to 58''- Side Steps- Are you looking to tone your bottom or saddle bags? If so, side steps are an excellent way to tone the glutes and outer thighs- The lower you squat during the side steps, the more you will engage your leg muscles- If you are a beginner, start in a bent knee position- If you have a higher fitness level, try side steps in a squatted position- This exercise is a butt burner!- Start in a bent knee position with the feet shoulder width apart- Place the 8 band around the arches of both feet- Take six to eight inch side to side- Be sure that the knees stay bent, bottom stays down, and the band stays at a constant tension at all times- Sit-up & 8 Band Pull apart- This is an excellent multi-muscle exercise- It's a great way to work your abdominals, chest, and shoulders in single exercise- The main key to the pull apart is keeping your arms straight while pulling the band apart- Bending your elbows too much will make the exercise less effective- This is also a great way to spice up a sit-up if you are tired of doing regular old sit-ups- Start in the sit-up position; Lying on your back with your knees in a forty-five degree angle- Hold the 8 band in both of your hands with your arms straight out in front of you- Do a full sit-up- As you sit-up, with straight arms, pull the 8 band apart to your chest- Be sure to keep your arms straight the entire time- Lower yourself from the sit-up back to the ground, as you do so bring your arms back together in the starting position- Plank Foot Taps- We all know that planks are hard, but have you ever tried working your legs & glutes during a plank? If not, try this one! Be sure to keep your bottom down, back flat, and neck in a neutral position the entire time- Breathing is also very important- Because this exercise tends to be more difficult, many people forget to breath- Always be sure to breath in a natural pattern, try not to hold your breath or take excessively deep breaths- Start in a plank position; face down, arms extended straight out in front of you holding yourself off of the ground, back flat, core tight, neck in a neutral position- Place the 8 band around the arches of both feet- Pick one foot off of the ground and tap it eight to ten inches away from the midline of the body, bring the foot back to center and repeat with the opposite foot- Bicep Curl- To make the bicep curl more challenging, try standing on only one foot- Single leg exercises make you engage your core muscles- Balancing on one foot during this exercise will help you to work your abdominal muscles and biceps at once- If you are new to balancing keep your foot by your ankle; if you are more advanced, try to bring your leg into a ninety degree angle- Place the 8 band on your right foot; place the opposite end of the 8 band in your right hand- With a straight arm down at your side, glue the elbow into your hip as a starting point- Curl the arm up to the shoulder, and in a slow and controlled manner lower it back down to your side- Repeat on the left side- This exercise works your bicep- Side Bends- We all want to learn exercises that will help us get rid of our muffin tops- Side bends with a figure-eight band will help you to tone your oblique muscles and improve the appearance of your waistline- Be sure that you do not overextend your back, and that you are only bending to a comfortable level- For injury prevention, never strain or overextend the back- Place the 8 band on your right foot; place the opposite end of the 8 band in your right hand- Start with your arm straight down to your side- Using your oblique muscle, pull up on the 8 band by extending
