Awesome learning tool! He learns a lot and I really love how you can buy books online. They are cheaper than the ones in the store, and so many different ones to choose from. I really like how you can enter their name and age, and it works with them on their age group. This is perfect for my son. It keeps him entertained for hours every day! 12/01/2011
Great game, but battery eater This is a great game and has many game options. It does not have automatic shut off and eats through batteries. I have to replace 4 AA batteries 3-4x a week. 12/10/2011
I had orded this online since the store only had the animated reader without buttons and my son has trouble with those. I ordered it on Monday and had it shipped to the store, which came in yesterday evening. Just to make sure everything on it was set up for my son for christmas I opened it and put his name in and tested it myself. Overall its a great toy but I was bummed and upset that to download anything from the learning lodge you HAVE to buy the SD card for memory. In the description it mentions you only need it for expansion, so now I have all of these e-books downloaded and ready to load but have to go back to the store to find a SD card for it first. Its a easy fixbut I wished that it had an on board memory like leapfrog items do, or that it was mentioned that an SD card was needed to really utilize the reader the way it is ment to. 12/07/2011
Excellent Educator/Poor Quality I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas, initially we had a problem getting it to stay on. But once we finally got it working she loved it, wouldnt put it down. Until the morning after Christmas when it froze on her. We couldnt even get it to power off. After replacing the the batteries twice it wouldnt even turn back on. Unfortunately we had to return it and of course Walmart was sold out of them. But she LOVES her LEAPFROG LEAPSTER 2!!!!!!!!! 12/27/2011
