I am returning my VTech today (too much static)....you may want to do the same and just buy new batteries like I am for my old phones.

easy set up replaced other V tech phones Love them. Only negative they should change the ring tones  same old same old although there are 9 not impressive.

The only complaint I have is that you need to explain to plug into area where there aren't many other electronics. It causes interference through the phone.

Phone meets our needs

Product was on sale, even the previous ratings were not good but still I took a chance, product was not bad at all, but I got a way better deal from Best Buy, same company but better model with caller I.d on the base + phone as well and less price then this model. Only thing, which I didn't like about this model was, answering machine keeps on blinking even if you don't have mssg.

For a senior citizen it is hard to see the name of the caller because the light isn't bright enough, and the 
letters are to small even with my eye glasses.  Not very happy, but I will keep the item.

Bought this because I thought it was a good deal on dual cordless phone setup. Hooked everything up and called my cell to make sure it was working. To my mistake I should have made a call to the house phone from my cell because neither of the phones rqng nor did they display any call incomming. My cell kept ringing and ringing.....the answering machine never even picked up. The only way I know a call is incomming is when the number pops up on my tv. The wierd part is when I am trying to call I can pick up the call by pressing the talk button, but like I said the only way to know when a call is incomming is when it pops up on my tv. I have tried everything & nothing works. What good is a phone that doesn't receive incomming calls or an answering machine that doesn't answer? Total waste of money! I went back to using my old corded phone and answering machine. At least that works. I should have read the reviews first. Next time I will know to stay away from Vtech & I hope nobody else makes the same mistake as me or the other reviewers who bought this phone.

The displays were blank or barely visible. I returned this phone and bought an AT&T CRL81212 phone. It works well

VTech Failure

I bought this item on a Saturday evening. Here it is on a Tuesday evening the phone ringer, nor answering machine won't work! My hubby and I have followed the directions to getting these set up for use, but have failed. the screen is to dim, yet there isn't a way to bright the screen. I called my home number from my cell it does show someone is calling, but unless you're looking at the phone then you won't know anyone has called, or is calling, And the answering machine never came on either. I'm returning them first thing in the morning to buy something else!! Do Not waste your money!!!

A friend gave me a set of these units after they stopped working. I thought it might be the batteries, but after replacing the batteries they still would work only intermittently. I pried the handsets open and found several cold solder joints. This is a type of manufacturing defect / quality control issue that was solved 50 years ago - very disappointing. After retouching the solder joints, they work, but I would not be surprised if something else goes wrong.

When I got it one of the handsets would not dial 2 of the digits. No big deal I can still answer the phone fine. The phones are slow! Trying to navigate between the caller ID entries takes a good second after hitting the button before the number changes. Again, SLOW! Then after a few months of owning it I can barely delete received messages. I literally had to use two hands, pick up the unit and use both thumbs pressing with all my might to delete a message. It took about 5 attempts.

Problem is I threw the box out about a month ago. I no longer have the receipt either. I don't expect Walmart will make things right (not their fault) but I will NEVER buy any other Vtech garbage product.

Do yourself a favor. Do NOT buy this product.

Complete garbage

I've had these phones less than 2 months. The reception is terrible. I can't go in my front or back yard without losing connection. The first handset lost its charge and it won't recharge, now the same thing has happened to the second one. I'm going to return these and hopefully I will be able to exchange them for a better quality phone.
