Incredible Toy!! My Aunt bought this train for my son on his second birthday, and I almost thought it wasn't going to be that big of a hit with him, but I was sooo wrong! I can not believe how much he loves this train. I swear he is literally on this thing every single day. He has so much fun with it, it's always the first thing he goes for in the morning when he gets up and he has other ride on toys! He sits on it and plants his feet on the ground and just launches himself across the livingroom lol. And that's just the fun part, the most amazing thing about this toy is that it has taught my son SO MUCH in SUCH little time! It has a block for every letter of the alphabet, with a corresponding picture on the back of each, that you stick in the side of the train and the train reads it like a micro chip and tells the child what it is. I swear to god he can bring me an entire pile of these blocks (after a couple weeks of sticking them in and listening to what they were over and over) and name every single one, a lot of them words he never even knew before like "Octopus" and "Zebra"!! He knows every single one, and can turn them over and tell you the letter. Let me tell you, my son is very smart, but until this point we had not even approached the ABC's and he knew basically nothing about them. I am just SO happy with how much this silly train has taught him, I had to share. I tell other people with little kids all the time, because its totally worth it. I did absolutely nothing to help this along, he was all over the thing since the day we got it. I don't know if it would be as big of a hit with girls, but my boy (who loves trains anyway, and any vehicle in general) went crazy for it. This toy will surprise the heck out of you!! Great Product My son recieved this for his 1st birthday. He loves to put the blocks dwn the shoot and watch them fall into the storage compartment. He hasn't really gotten into learning the letters yet but I can tell it will be great. There are 4 slots you can put the blocks in and it tells you the letter and a clue word for that letter. There is also a really cute littl book attached to the train and my son loves to look through the book. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something fun and educational that can grow with your child. 04/06/2010
Great Toy Got it for my Son's 1st Birthday, he loves playing with the letter blocks. He puts them into the top and they fall into a lil storage under the seat, but he doesnt ride on it. 10/17/2009
Fun to Pick Up I bought this for my son for his 2nd birthday & he absolutely loves it, he plays with it all the time. I hadn't even gotten it all the way out of the box & assembled before he was sitting on it saying "chuga chuga choo choo". It's only been a few weeks so we haven't had it long enough for him to really learn the letters, etc. yet, but I know it's only a matter of time.Whoever designed this must have been a genius. The blocks store under the seat so you don't need a separate container for them. This is the only toy my son actually LIKES to help pick up since it is fun - the blocks go in the top of the train & shoot through a little slide into the bottom of the seat.I normally don't spend this much on toys for my children since it seems they always get broken soon after or left unused for a long while, but this was definitely worth the money. 04/20/2011
