    Incredible Toy!!

    Customer review by ElisMama22

My Aunt bought this train for my son on his second birthday, and I almost thought it wasn't going to be that big of a hit with him, but I was sooo wrong! I can not believe how much he loves this train. I swear he is literally on this thing every single day. He has so much fun with it, it's always the first thing he goes for in the morning when he gets up and he has other ride on toys! He sits on it and plants his feet on the ground and just launches himself across the livingroom lol. And that's just the fun part, the most amazing thing about this toy is that it has taught my son SO MUCH in SUCH little time! It has a block for every letter of the alphabet, with a corresponding picture on the back of each, that you stick in the side of the train and the train reads it like a micro chip and tells the child what it is. I swear to god he can bring me an entire pile of these blocks (after a couple weeks of sticking them in and listening to what they were over and over) and name every single one, a lot of them words he never even knew before like "Octopus" and "Zebra"!! He knows every single one, and can turn them over and tell you the letter. Let me tell you, my son is very smart, but until this point we had not even approached the ABC's and he knew basically nothing about them. I am just SO happy with how much this silly train has taught him, I had to share. I tell other people with little kids all the time, because its totally worth it. I did absolutely nothing to help this along, he was all over the thing since the day we got it. I don't know if it would be as big of a hit with girls, but my boy (who loves trains anyway, and any vehicle in general) went crazy for it. This toy will surprise the heck out of you!! Its completely worth every penny and more!!

    Great Product

My son recieved this for his 1st birthday. He loves to put the blocks dwn the shoot and watch them fall into the storage compartment. He hasn't really gotten into learning the letters yet but I can tell it will be great. There are 4 slots you can put the blocks in and it tells you the letter and a clue word for that letter. There is also a really cute littl book attached to the train and my son loves to look through the book. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something fun and educational that can grow with your child.

We got this for our grandson on his 1st birthday and he loved it. What was great was that our 3 year old granddaughter loved it too. It is really a toy that toddlers will have fun with and then as they grow it still has fun things for them to do. We were very happy with this product.

I want to buy this as a gift for my friend's son but I know she gets tired of listening to some of his toys after a while. I know the description says that the music/sounds are motion-activated, but is she able to turn down or turn off the sounds when she wants to?
    by Girlintheshadows 12/10/2011
    • Yes you can turn the sounds off.

    • Yes, it has both an on/off button and a volume control button. Trust me, if her son enjoys it as much as my children do, she won't even mind the music!

    • It does have an on off button but does not have volume control. I don't think it is that loud though and I can't stand toys that are really loud.

    • Yes it makes train sounds & plays the alphabet song. I'm not sure how many songs it plays, as it plays a song every time you push a button....but it plays many. My 2 y/o could have ridden it at about 18 months old for sure, but I'm not sure about a 1 y/o. It may be to tall still.

    • The train makes lots of sounds. It plays the alphabet song, it also tells the child the name of the letter and an example word when they insert a block into the spaces on the front. It has a music option and a search option that works like a game for the child to find the letter it's asking for. You can also choose to turn the sounds off. It is perfect for my one year old.

    • So far, I have only heard the ABC, because my one year old dances to that then starts doing other things to make other noises. It looks easy for my son to ride, He just doesn't exactly know how to turn yet. Yes this train makes sounds. When you put the blocks into the top it counts out loud one after the other, When you turn the pages on the book it talks about the letters on that page and reads a sentence about the letters. When you put the blocks in the squares by the book, it tells you what letter is on the block, what picture is on the block, and asks you to flip it over to see the picture :)

    • It does make sounds. It's bulky for them to ride at first...but after a while it seems to be a little easier. There is a gap between the main engine and the seat which can make it hard for them to hold on to the handles when they are first starting out..however my one year old still loves to sit and push it!!

    • Yes, it makes many noises as well as lighst up. It also counts and also plays the alphabet. It is endless fun! Yes ur 1 yr. old should be able to ride it, but even if he/she cant theres tons of other things on the train that will keep he/she occupied! :) I recommend it!

We don't have hardwood floors or anything, mainly carpet and tiling on the kitchen/dining rm floors. My toddler is a strong walker/runner; but would enjoy riding it if she could. My concern is that it won't move when she goes from tile to carpet.

    • You shouldn't have a problem at all with the jeep riding on carpet or tile. Although, this is a pretty big jeep to be in the house. We have a 3 bedroom decent sized house and the jeep is just too big to ride inside...Not to mention u might have an issue with the kids running into things. lol
