    The VLF Metal Detector with Automatic Tuning and Ground Balance will help you find treasure without spending a fortune to get it. Valuables such as iron relics, coins, silver, and gold can be easily detected. This treasure metal detector is capable of detecting small, coin-sized objects that are up to 6-inch deep and large swags up to 2-foot. It has different modes and alarm tones for sensing different metal objects. The treasure meter states the depth of the treasure by determining the strength of the signal. Using the trash eliminator control, the unwanted items can be ignored for detection. The VLF gold metal detector is powered by two 9V alkaline batteries.

    This is a real nice toy This same item on a national auction site was twice this price, and shipping was much cheaper through Walmart. This is my first detector, but it works so well I don't think I will ever need another. Stop looking at the others, this is an excellent product, and provides hours of profitable entertainment. 09/16/2007
    Great for Beginners I bought this metal detector because I didn't want to pay a lot of money incase it turned out that I didn't find metal detecting fun. It has well exceeded my expectations for the $44 that I paid for it. It has a great ring for coins versus trash. Although I have found a lot of trash with it, I also found a 1899 Barber dime in my own backyard! Also, even though it says it only goes down 6 inches, I have found that after a good rain, it detected metal at 9 inches. If you are just getting started on Metal Detecting and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is great for beginners. 09/04/2007
