This TV is great! The [product description falsely says it includes a 40" sound bar and an HDMI cable. This was cut and pasted from the Visio options. With that exception, the TV is great and easy to setup. Picture quality is very good as is the sound. Setup was very easy as well including joining a WIFI network. Power on speed and streaming speeds are average. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because of the error listing the bar and cable.

Very easy to set up and stream video. I mounted a VIZIO sound bar on top of the tv and was steaming video in less than 10 minutes.

After reading all the negative reviews, I still went ahead and purchased this TV because the price was excellent. I had just bought a refurbished 28" which came in original box in like new condition but it was too small so I decided to get the 39" instead. When I receive this it came in regular packaging box not original box, but thankfully mine arrived intact with no broken pieces. First Impression, this refurbished TV definitely looked USED, like really refurbished. The edges of the TV had scratches all around and the "Vizio" logo had a big scratch that is hard to avoid. I was disappointed because I expected better, but for the price I decided to work with it. So I turn it on, everything was easy to connect even the internet. The picture was great, not superb or sharp, my 46" Vizio 720 shows better then that. The sound was good. So now what drove me to the edge into returning this, I tried to watch some shows on Netflix, but I couldn't get on Netflix, the internet kept disconnecting, so I had to always reconnect. So when it was finally reconnected Netflix still wouldn't work. And mind that this is my 3rd smart TV in my house hold but the only refurbished tv, and the other two #LG & Vizio# I had no issues with internet connection or getting on Netflix. so then I decided to go on YouTube on this TV and boy this took forever for even the YouTube logo to come on, at first I thought the TV shut itself off because it was just stack on the black screen for so long, then YouTube finally came on 10 minutes later. I wasn't able to watch anything, my internet connection was on then it was disconnected again, so frustrating. So I tried again a second time, this time the logo never came on and I waited close to 20 minutes. Again I thought the TV shut it self off then I hit exit then the cable came on so the TV was on the entire time. The reason for a smart TV is to use the internet and go to different apps, if you want a regular TV get this but I bought a SMART TV, and this was a total FAIL. I HATE THIS TV, there is nothing smart about it. Don't waste your time or money with this, I should have listen to the other reviews, I was just hoping I will have a better Luck. Returning back to Wal-Mart, no more refurbished TV's for me after this experience.

    • A. Sorry for the wall of text, Walmart's refurbished TV's are a gamble. Sometimes they're in perfect condition (like new), sometimes a few scratches are visible and other times the TV will come damaged to the point that it's unusable. The later case is likely due to their poor/inconstant packaging, and your only option is to return the TV for a refund and decide if you want to try again when/if the TV comes back in stock. Also, as far as I can tell these Walmart refurbished TVs might not be refurbished at all. They're likely returns or display models. You aren't guaranteed to get all of the accessories that come with the new model. I haven't heard of any missing remotes, however I have heard of the wrong remote for the TV being with it (remote from same manufacture but for the wrong model). And unlike with new products there's no warranty. You'll just have the standard 30-day return period, unless you buy a Walmart product care plan to go with it (which can be a hassle to deal with I've heard, but might give you some peace of mind). I bought a Walmart refurb and it looked like new, everything was included (only thing missing was batteries for the remote, something that usually comes with new TVs). The TV has been working perfectly since I bought it (About 2 months), but that's just my experience, many others haven't been so fortunate. Again, it's a gamble, be prepared to return a damaged one.

    • A. Once I got all of the things missing: Stand and working remote...it is great. Can't tell the difference. But be prepared for anything wrong when it comes. Mine was in the box for 3 weeks before I could use it because of the stand and remote. Vizio took 2 weeks to get me the stand I ORDERED from them. Purchase the extended warranty from Walmart.com...Vizio doesn't honor anything for their refurbished tvs. They will tell you that quickly. NOTE: Walmart.com gave me a credit so I could purchase the stand. They were awesome!

    • A. Depending on what you get. If it is Manufacturer refurbished, my exp. so far has been great. From Walmart, there are high chances that the piece you receive to have some defect. Better to get a New one or refurbished from the store after you check that it is working properly.

Does anyone know what the warranty on this item is? It does not state clearly here and it also doesn't state that this TV is refurbished by the manufacturer so it may not be covered by Vizio's standard 90 day refurbished warranty. Anyone know?

    • A. As far as I can tell, these are not manufacturer refurbished, in fact I'm almost certain they aren't refurbished at all and are either returns or displays. I think you just get the standard 30 day return policy unless you buy Walmart's replacement plan (which I think is just $20 for this TV price range).

    • A. Vizio will quickly tell you that they don't warranty a refurbished tv. Purchase the one that Walmart.com offers. Vizio has awful customer service...Walmart.com has WONDERFUL customer service. I know all of this because I had problems and dealt with both.
