Really disappointed with this TV. I bought it on a bit of an impulse because of the size and price and then found a lot of reviews from people having issues with the sound, WiFi functionality as well as people having the screens just black out after a few months. I guess that part is my fault for not looking before I leapt. I decided to take the risk and go with it anyway to see how it fared. When we got the TV home and unpacked it I was really impressed with how thin it was. It really is a beautiful TV. Got it mounted on our TV stand, put power to it and immediately heard a buzzing noise coming from the speakers. I thought this was definitely a red flag but after unplugging and plugging back in the buzzing stopped so I let it go. Next I tried connecting the TV to my WiFi Router. I have connected countless devices to this router, countless times. Both my wife and I have laptops, smartphones and tablets. Never a single problem connecting any of those devices. The TV absolutely refused to connect. I rebooted the Router, reconfigured it to be wide open with no security and got... Nothing. It just kept telling me it couldn't connect. I had a cable patched over to my XBOX 360 and used it to plug the TV into the Router and it connected fine. OK great, so a weird noise and the WiFi is uncooperative. Fine... Frustrating, but I'm not willing to give up yet. I'll try the WiFi process again later. The remote was a cool idea with the keyboard on the back. Unfortunately I discovered that it was IR only and if you held the remote like you would if you were using your thumbs to type you covered the IR sensor and it wouldn't type on screen. Good thinking guys! We got the TV working and the first thing noticed was that the sound quality on the TV is pretty tinny. I actually expected this to be a little on the bad side as there isn't a whole lot of room to pack a speaker into. Quite honestly, I am no audiophile but even I was looking at sound bars after I got it! A few days went by and My wife called me at the office to report the TV had made a funny noise and powered off. At that point I told her "OK, one more thing and we are going to have to take it back". Sure enough, a week later the Sound quit completely and it started making a repeating tick noise. tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick. No audio, just tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick. I did some research to see if I could resolve it and read something along the lines of "This is a sign of a major component failure". I was glad I hung onto the box. Packed it back up and returned it to the store for a refund. Kind of a shame as I really liked the TV. Unfortunately, after all of the horror stories I read about the TV after I bought it, I think I am going to steer clear of Vizio when I decide to buy another TV. So others can make informed decisions (I wish I had) before you click the buy button, do a web search for: vizio e601i-a3 screen fail vizio e601i-a3 wifi problems vizio e601i-a3 audio problems So you know what you are potentially getting into. It's not a guarantee that you will have problems, but it is worth checking out. One last thing:Despite all the trouble I had with the TV, I would like to say that Walmart did a great job with the Site to Store process and the return was completely painless so my thanks goes out to them for that.

I certainly would have preferred an LG, Samsung, Panasonic, or Sharp TV. Originally, those were the only brands I was considering. I feel that the build quality, the picture, and sound quality of the Vizio is not at the same level as the other brands mentioned. But the Refurbished Vizio was only $750! It was cheap and that's really the only reason I bought a Vizio. It has a lot of features at a low price, which makes it a great value. I am still leery of the quality of Vizio, so I did purchase the 4 yr extended warranty. In my opinion, Vizio has not been around long enough to prove themselves over the long run. This particular model did have a bad chip that caused a lot of these TV's to fail soon after purchase. I suppose they really had no other choice. Vizio did stand behind them and give people new TV's. Then they fixed them and sold them as refurbs. Let's hope they got it right the 2nd time around. I should note that I am very particular and fussy about most purchase- electronics in particular. Overall, I am very satisfied with this TV.

My husband and I were a bit weary to order a TV online especially one that was refurbished. We saw the Vizio and decided to take a leap of faith and I am so glad that I did! We watched The Kingdom of Heaven and it was amazing. The picture was very clear and it looked like it was almost in real life! Also, the sound was so good we decided we do not even need a surround sound. Although, others might think differently if they have a larger living room because we are in an apartment. This brand definitely exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone who may be undecided.

My uncle had gotten this TV from Sam's Club several months ago. I was a little jealous because the picture quality was AMAZING! When I saw this pop up the website for $748 as a refurb, I had to get it. Now, with that, I did buy the three year warranty. I picked up the box last night. Although the box isn't original, it was packaged very professionally, and had a manual and remotes and cord. I'm EXTREMELY happy with this item! Thank you!

I bought this television a week before the super bowl. I figured this was a good time to buy a new television with sales going on big screens. I was very pleased with the picture and all the extras that came with the Vizio smart television. One day short of owning the television while watching a ncaa mens basketball game no picture sound continued. I tried all the tricks and called customer service they were no help but it was a Sunday afternoon. Monday I returned the television to walmart and they refunded my money no questions. I learned as long as it is within 90 days they will refund the purchase, after 90 days though you are on your own sending it back to manufacture. It was a hassle getting the 60 inch television back to walmart but to ship it back to Vizio would have been a different set of challenges. Cheers to Walmart and their return policy.

  • A. yes this tv does have the qwerty keyboard on the backside of the remote...and for the current price of $700 it is a steal...just make sure you always buy the extended warranty on any lcd or lcd/led tv.....every brand has issues! and to pass on the 4 year warrany is insane imvho....

  • A. It is still in the original box. You get a 90 days return policy from walmart. After that you get nothing. The website states you have a 6 month warranty from Vizio, however the TV was refurbished by a third party, not vizio, so there is NO warranty from vizio and walmart will not make any effort to remedy the situation. I now have a $700 piece of scrap plastic and steel hanging on my wall that I'm supposed to stare at every day. Maybe I'll hang a picture over it, so at least I can see something pretty
