Purchased this unit, set up to cable, at least 10 channels of 62 would not run. Did a manual on a channel, it would stay on as long as you did not switch channels if so it was dropped. Vizio said cable company at fault. Cable tech came out while also talking to Vizio. It was not the cable. Vizio had us go through reinstall, change cables and splitter etc. returned to store and took a second one, same problems. Returned it to store and took a LG, installed on same line Vizio said was bad set up beautiful. We also had another tv in another room on the same line with a splitter playing with all channels operational while the Vizio Tech was telling us we had bad connections and Cable Co. was at fault. Tech could not tell why we could not receive missing channels.

I also experienced a few dropped channels with the built in tuner, but my goal was never to use the TV's tuner. I planned on connecting a cable box and a Roku to the HDMI ports. For that purpose the TV works great. This TV is placed in my bedroom and it sounds loud and clear enough for my room. The picture is better compared to what the built in tuner provided. One reviewer mentioned a single button on the TV, which is true, but you can download a remote control app on your phone to control that aspect of it. My phone came with one built in and it not only controls the TVs channels and volume, it also lets you access the menu features. I am not sure how bad the dropped channel problem is and how many channels are effected, but if you are like me and you plan on using the HDMI ports (x2) or the composite inputs you should be happy with the output. To me this is a great value for a name brand TV.

I thought I was getting a deal at this price. The tv only has a single button and it is to switch between inputs. so if you ever lost the remote you are out of luck. Also is you are hooked into a coaxial cable it will lose some channels for no reason. My advice would be to spend a little more and get a tv that actually does its supposed to.

I bought this Vizio since I had bought on 42" LED model several years ago and it was and still is fantastic. However, this model has a beautiful picture but several channels will not lock in. All the other TVs in the house work fine. I called Vizio and they walked me through some tests and scanning and they said this problem indicated a bad tuner and masterboard. I returned it and the new one had the same problem but on more channels. Sorry, no more Vizios for me.

Bot one, 3 channels wouldn't hold. Returned. 2nd one did the same thing. Don't even bother buying this one unless you want to make trips to return it. Cheap but a piece of junk...
